According to Red Stater
Supreme Appointments(s) Due
Red State voters spoke clearly in the midterm elections of 2002 by electing a Republican controlled House, Senate and even the majority of Governors are now Republican.
In 2004 Red State voters spoke loud and clear in the Presidential election. (see red/blue map)
What were Red Staters voting for and what were Red Staters saying?
An end to liberal Democrat "anything goes" policies.
An end to liberal activist judges and courts.
An end to playing patty-cake with terrorists and brutal dictators.
American voters rejected the Hollywood, "Bush Lied", "Illegal war", weak on defense, tax & spend, activist court, Michael Moore/Democrat platform- overwhelmingly.
What do we expect in terms of a Supreme Court appointment?
This Red Stater expects those we elected to appoint-
Judges that will not take property away from individuals to give to private business,
Judges who understand that the words "In the year of our Lord" are in the Constitution.
Judges who disagree with killing an unborn baby as a form of birth control for the mere convenience of the mother.
Judges who will protect the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.
Judges with common sense, not judges with a sense of being elite.
Judges who enforce the Constitution, not rewrite or redefine it.
Judges who respect that there are two other branches of our government with equal power to theirs.
Janice Rogers Brown (for instance) would be a good selection and should be easy to confirm since she just went through the confirmation process and already approved for a lower court appointment. She would be the third woman and the first African American woman named to the Supreme Court.
Unless the Democrats would prefer Judge Roy Moore that is.
Red Staters voted in record numbers, now it is time for President Bush and the Senate to deliver.

Hey Red,
You hold the distinction of being my first blog visitor. Glad you enjoyed my slap-back @ the good citizens of Aspen, CO. I got that one published in the Aspen Times as well. I've read your various blog postings and agree with your observations. You know, if you look at the state of affairs today vs. during the Clinton years, it's night and day; Despite the criticism from the Left & the MSM we've got Terrorism on the run worldwide, the correction of the Supreme Court has now begun, the Patriot Act will be made permanant as will the tax cuts, and we no longer wake each day to another sex scandle which degrades the dignity of the Oval Office. Keep up the good work and keep the faith.
