Popular NHRA Funny Car driver Eric Medlen lost his battle for life today in a Gainsville Florida hospital following his tragic accident during a test session on Monday of this week. Eric was 33 years old and one of the most popular drivers in the NHRA series.

I guess NASCAR is kind of like the war in Iraq. We should all be proud that he died with his boots on.
Maybe this should go in the Darwin awards. This guy died driving a car too fast. Maybe we should have a sport where bungie jumpers keep lowering their ropes over spikes to see how close they can get. Then we'll all be sad when one of them dies too.
My prayers go out to his family praying that the rest of his family isn't as stupid as him.

How is it hateful? I was just stating the facts. A guy died driving his car around in little circles. It's not like he was fighting cancer or killing Arabs and there's at least 10 guys ready to take his spot driving that same car around in more circles and 10 million guys waiting to watch them drive around in circles. It's kind of like lemmings. What's he gonna do next? Turn left.

I would never censor Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity and I'm not sure why you are associating me with the liberal crowd. I told you that I am a libertarian so I don't think there should be any regulation on free speech even the Don Imus offensive kind. Parents need to police what their children get exposed to there. I don't agree with Rush or Sean most of the time, but I don't agree with Whoopie or Rosie even more often.
I don't know how you define intelligence, but I have a Masters degree in engineering from an Ivy League school and I seem to be making a good living with that. My kids are all doing well in PUBLIC SCHOOLS and so I'm not sure what metrics you are using for your stupid meter.
The whole point that I made earlier is that the stupid ones are only more likely to go first, so there's a lot of smart guys that die young and a lot of idiots that live to 90. I'm not sure where the irony is in the statement you made, but maybe you don't understand the definition of that word, or maybe you are an Alanis Morissette fan.
You still didn't explain how I attacked an 8-year old child. All I said was that it was stupid to allow an 8-year old to get into a death machine, but there's going to be a lot of therapy required there I'm sure unless they just repress the guilt. I actually thought that was a sympathetic statement.

as in "death machine".No one has ever died in a jr dragster. In fact this is the first injury I have heard of that resulted in hospitalization. Cheerleading competition has more injuries than jr drag racing.
However, I am sure with your advanced education that you know of several youth sports that can make such a safety claim as NHRA jr drag racing can.
Don't bother getting back to me, I already know the answer.
