Okie Funk Alert

This stuff is too easy.
The so-called "award winning" blog Okie Funk proves once again that they have absolutely no clue as evidenced by this statement.

"Even Oklahoma's corporate power structure believes the state needs more college graduates, but do not count on U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe to help out".

And yet just a couple of paragraphs down they say...

" Inhofe is a shill for big corporations, including major banks and oil companies"... ... he sided with the banking industry".

I hate to break the news to Okie Funk, but big corporations including the banking industry are sort of a major part of the "corporate power structure". First he says the corp power structure can't count on Inhofe then he turns around and says Inhofe is a shill for the corp power stucture... so, which is it?

More importantly however, equating federal spending on college tuition with the number of college graduates that remain (after graduating) in Oklahoma is just flat wrong-headed on several levels (which I detail below). But, it does fit the liberal template and that's all Okie Funk (and the Daily Kos) need to post this idiocy as gospel. (Here is an example of big evil corporate Oklahoma to Okie Funk)

Look, even if Oklahoma could send every resident to college (for free), ...as soon as they graduate where do they go for a high paying job... Luther, Pink, Harrah, Vian, Willow, Nicoma Park or even OKC? LOL.
Not with the anti business reputation the Oklahoma Democrat led congress (along with local city government) has established here over the past 100 years... so, ...many smart College graduates from Oklahoma do what college graduates do... the best that they can for themselves and their families by moving to a state with actual JOBS. (instead of government jobs)

Note that Colorado is the 4th highest state on the list Okie Funk references (not due to more native Coloradoan's attending college btw) with 36% of the population having a BA degree and Note that many Oklahoman's (as well as Texans and CA's) relocate to Colorado. WHY?
Aside from "the beauty of the alpine splendor" there are jobs, good jobs, high paying jobs. Why?
Colorado did (does) what was (is) necessary to attract those jobs... and thus has a large number of college grad's living in the state (not the other way around).

Colorado is ranked 10th nationally (2006) in average household earnings at just over $51,000.00/yr while Oklahoma is ranked 42nd at just over $38,000.00/yr.

Okie Funk loves to promote the ideal of small business which is great, but the mom-n-pop businesses are NOT the one's providing high paying jobs in most cases.

If OKIE FUNK and Democrats really want more college grad's to stay in Oklahoma.... then (quit whining about the situation your ilk created and) do what is necessary to keep them here (entice big companies to locate here) INSTEAD of spending more money creating highly educated employees for other states! (duh)

And who does Okie Funk blame for the lack of high paying jobs in the state? College graduates.

"...the state's two major metropolitan areas, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, do not have enough educated, highly-skilled workers to attract or sustain businesses".

So, college graduates are supposed to just wait around until jobs magically appear or it is their fault?
Perhaps the students are supposed to recruit new companies to Oklahoma to themselves...
"Dear corporate monster; Please move your tax evading, money hungry, environment destroying company to Oklahoma when I graduate from college so I will have a job and not have to move out of state.

(Somebody tell Okie Funk that not everyone who attends OU/OSU is from Oklahoma in the first place)

It's typical of the liberal mentality however,.... when in doubt...(blame the victims) spend more tax $ (blame Republicans) and never mind the actual results or consequences, because at least they can run around claiming they are "pro-education"... lol... because we all know they will NEVER EVER say they are pro-big business... which is where most college grads go after getting that diploma and is what Oklahoma is lacking badly.

Okie Funk seems to think that college grad's don't need a job when they get out of school, just a handout from the government is all we need to fix Oklahoma... that and higher taxes.

So, what is Okie Funk's answer to this perplexing problem they propose?

Uhhh Doctor Kurt, the liberal (left-wing) Democrats have been the majority in power, controlling Oklahoma's laws, economy, jobs, education and roads for the past 100 years... (since statehood... till 2006) so... to believe that the minority (right-wing) party could impose any "tyranny of oppression" would require one to engage in the "willing suspension of disbelief" which is what I believe your readers and followers do ...to perfection I might add.

I am wondering if Doc Hoc knows Dr. Robin Meyers or even Dr. Rodger A Payne down at the University of Louisville? They certainly all use the same mantra... "Bush is a liar, Democrats are the salvation".
I (Red S Tater) do owe Doctor Kurt an apology for one thing however... I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he just might be.. how did I put it?... an idiot, but he is no idiot and in fact is obviously quite well educated and well read, so for that I apologize.
In light of this, we are left with no choice but to conclude that his writings are not the ramblings of a madman but the carefully calculated political propaganda of an extreme, radical, left-wing Democrat pundit, "shill" (his favorite word) disguised as a "journalist" and college professor (at best).

I liked you better when I thought you were just an idiot moonbat (remember, moonbats are cute) but now I don't think students should be within miles and miles of you without first reading a disclaimer or something and maybe a decontamination shower afterwards wouldn't hurt either. I'm pretty sure that many Oklahoman's would be shocked to learn that Oklahoma has our own little Ward Churchill writing/contributing at the Daily Kos while teaching eager young minds at UCO how to hate conservatives.

UPDATE: 09/18- I don't know why these people just won't admit what they really are selling... like Kurt's hero Woody Guthrie (not a communist) for instance. Yet The Peoples Weekly World News (NOT part of the "right-wing machine") lovingly says this...
