2007 World Series: Rockies vs Red Sox
My Colorado Rockies take on the Boston Red Sox in the fall classic.
Having attended games at both Coors Field and Fenway Park, I can almost imagine actually being at the upcoming MLB World Series.
The word that comes to mind is "electric" and I only hope the play is as good as the crowds promise to be. Considering Colorado comes into the 7 game series having won 10 in a row in the playoffs and 21 out of their last 22 games along with the best fielding (defensive) stats in the history of baseball, expectations are pretty high for a team that just a couple of years back couldn't have imagined being in this position. To use a common term to Coloradoans, they are a MILE HIGH.
Boston comes into the series with a lot of confidence of their own having been in this position just 3 years ago and (finally) winning it all.
The Rockies come in not knowing any better and believe they will win. Blake street will be buzzing with baseball and ohhhh how I wish I could be there for real.

GOoooooooooooooh-Raaahhhhhh-keees !
Yea, Go Rockies!
And Go Red Sox!
Go farther, Red Sox!
Welcome to your 2nd childhood, Red, for the next 10 days or so! It appears on paper to be one exciting Series.
Best of Luck!
I talked to my son in Denver last night... tickets to the game START at about $1,000.00ea.... and those are in what is called "The Rockpile" out in the center field seats...
during the regular season these tix go on sale the day of the game and are $1-$5 ea.
Maybe I'm glad I'm not there for the series.
The best seat in the house is the one in the livingroom. It will be warmer there, you, the Better Half, the Localmalcontent have the best seats, near the concession stand refrigerator, and the restrooms. And the benefit of instant replay. And, according to your son, we are about $1,000 better off.
well, funny you said that, he did hint that I should send some $$$$. Jokingly of course hahahah (not) he actually is doing very well and has the bucks to probably go, but he is too cheap (and smart) thank goodness.
Best of luck in the game tonight my friend... let the horsehide fall where it may.

Hey, Red, Better Half too, NOW the series gets very interesting! Going to Denver will be a bigger challenge than the Red Sox expect--
Now comes the dogfight, and the Rockies gain back their respect.
Here's to a great, entertaining game Saturday! Best of all maybe, no OU Sooners game to distract us!
so much for dogfight, more like a puppy stomping.
The sox seem to have too much pitching for the rox to handle and the rox too little pitching to compete with the sox.
3 games in a row, the sox have been in control of the game... kudo's to them and their management.
Tonight, we'll see if the rox can even mount a 'last stand' or will be swarmed (again) such as happened up a little further north in the Rockies a hundred and fifty or so years ago.
