Gov't. Healthcare, Try It Before You Buy It

We don't have to point to all the horrible failures of socialized healthcare in other countries when we actually have the perfect example of government provided healthcare right here.

Titled The Shame of a Nation, an MD gives us a sobering look at what Hillarycare would look like as she describes the current state of the (government operated) Native American healthcare system and her analysis is ... of course to increase funding (taxes) on a broken system.

I think, based on some of his posts, that my friend The Local Malcontent would agree with me that given the choice, private healthcare (hospitals) are much better, faster and more efficient to put it nicely.

The VA hospitals in many cases are not at the standard of surrounding private facilities.
Even going to a big city run hospital like the old Denver General (referred to as the Denver Gun Club) is no vacation at club med.
I suggest everyone who is in favor of nationalized socialized "free" healthcare go visit their local city or county operated healthcare provider and try it out. Then imagine EVERY hospital is like that or worse! Then imagine long lines to get in those hospitals. Then imagine all the best Doc's going somewhere else where the pay is better. - i.e. Hillarycare.
I suggest that before Democrats tear apart the National Healthcare, they need to explain why they can't fix the healthcare systems they already own and explain why government operated hospitals are in the shape they are in in the first place. The only healthcare system in America that is broken are the one(s) already operated by the government!

Ronald Reagan had it right, we've got plenty of examples of the government and how they do with providing lousy underfunded-overtaxed services to know better than turn arguably the worlds BEST healthcare system into just another failed government program.
No thanks.

I sure do agree, Red! Spot On.

Shrillary's idea of health care is a disaster just waiting to happen. Isn't she among other Dems. who once said that the U.S. could not afford tax cuts? But apparently We CAN afford this boondoggle.

Great to see Mr. Reagan above!! Man, what didn't this guy know, or do properly?

Hillary- "I have lots if ideas, in fact, America can't afford all of my ideas".

I just want to be clear that I am NOT blaming native Americans for the screwed-up system the US Gov delivered.

But instead the post is an example of what happens when our form of government tries to do things it was NOT DESIGNED TO DO.

Running services outside of police protection, courts, roads, public works and parks... is beyond the responsibility and capability of local Gov's (in fact I can argue they don't do such a great job in a couple of those) USER FEE funded projects managed by the city or county such as rec centers and the like are okay,... but hiring a lifeguard is not the same as managing a hospital.

The Fed Gov should not try and handle much beyond the military, federal HWY system, the courts, foreign policy, ... and managing without killing private industry, foreign trade, BORDER ENFORCEMENT, immigration, ... you know national issues.

Our privatized healthcare system IS the best and most available system in the world...despite what Fidel or anyone else claims.
what people want is free service for everyone to the existing great hospital system... sorry, but it can't work that way (for long).

We also already have healthcare for anyone who really, really needs it. A few years back, I was in bad shape and had to go to the county hospital for treatment (FREE TREATMENT) they saw me, treated me, gave me medicine (Free) and included a follow-up visit (free).

A pregnant illegal immigrant can go to a half dozen locations right here in OKC and get FREE prenatal care and free delivery and free postnatal and (after the free delivery) pediatric care..(yes, I know this for a FACT)
RIGHT NOW...right here, so DON'T TELL ME that the poor can't get "healthcare".

...sorry mal, that wasn't directed at you of course..
as for Reagan, I remember really feeling sorry for him, in that (at the time) he was portrayed EXACTLY like they (Dem's and the media) project George Bush, except they focused on him being more senile and stupid than EVIL. They thought of him as that uncle that comes to family gatherings that no-one listens to 'cause he is CRAZY...but entertaining.
It was pretty relentless.

History shows otherwise... Reagan was not only right, but a visionary who implemented his vision in the face of ridicule and rejection.
What followed was the greatest and longest economic growth in US history, the fall of the Soviet Union and the wall between E and W Germany... torn down.

No wonder socialist Democrats still hate him to this day.
