"Pals" or "Palling" With Terrorist Bill Ayers? That's The Question

A local blogger is debating with me whether Obama is "palling" with terrorist Bill Ayers as I have written or if he is just "pals" with terrorist Bill Ayers.
Thereby making me... by my use of bad grammar ( and by default) wrong and thereby making Barack and Bill Ayers simply "pals".

Lets go to the NY Times a fair and balanced Publication for the correct usage of the term...

Palin says Obama 'palling around' with terrorists

CARSON, Calif., (AP) — "Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday accused Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" because of an association with a former '60s radical, stepping up an effort to portray Obama as unacceptable to American voters.

Palin's reference was to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. Its members were blamed for several bombings, including a pipe bomb in San Francisco that killed a police officer and injured another."

Obama did not denounce Ayers actions until 2005, but since Barack was only 8 years old when Ayers was busy planning to blow up the pentagon, Obama was full aware of who Ayers was years later when he launched his political career from Ayers Chicago living room in the mid 1990's.

The NY Times article goes on...

"Ayers is a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He and Obama live in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood and served together on the board of the Woods Fund, a Chicago-based charity that develops community groups to help the poor. Obama left the board in December 2002.

Obama was the first chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a school-reform group of which Ayers was a founder. Ayers also held a meet-the-candidate event at his home for Obama when Obama first ran for office in the mid-1990s."

I agree with the NY Times... "palling" around is fine.

But if you Obama backers insist they were pals, I tell ya' what... that sounds fair.
