You may get this comment twice, if so I'm sorry.

Red, what is the point of this? All you are doing is mocking Otter’s Currently Reading posts (which I do as well…the Currently Reading posts that is). This is just plain juvenile. First off you post a nonsensical political comment in response to a nonpolitical post of Otter’s blog, and then you turn around and repost a variation of said comment on your own blog. Why? What are you hoping to accomplish?

Boy... you two have the sense of humor of a pet rock.

Most of what I write is partly tongue in cheek satire... part fact, part opinion, but apparently that isn't acceptable... which makes me wonder why you don't critique and try to curb the liberal bloggers. Only conservative bloggers are required to play by your rules?

I'm sorry if my joke about currently reading offended you and or otter. Lots of bloggers do a currently reading segment... I just thought I'd do a spoof on it with some funny (at least I thought they were funny) titles.

But.. since you read it and commented, it was a successful post. Hate it or love it, just don't ignore it!

lol
Thank you for stopping by, stay warm and safe.

Oh I don't hold liberal bloggers to the same standard you say? Just ask Sinister how many times I have gotten on him for throwing personal attacks and insults at Jim (aka FGO). Or how about you go back and look at any of the number of discussions I've had with Danny and see how many times I called him out for being a poop head.

I do my best to treat everyone with the same amount of respect and hold everyone to the same standards Red and you know it. Hell I have defended YOU against attacks by liberal bloggers.

Your point about satire is taken, but still Red, this is just an extension of the ridiculous comment you posted on Otter's blog. So let me ask you this...what was the point of your original comment?

Hey dave, I know you are fairminded or at least try to be.

I respect both you and otter, but heck can't I poke fun at ya' (actually otter in this case) without you taking it so seriously?
I mean really, I didn't call otter any names or say his is stupid or wish him harm... I guess the point of the original comment was something along the lines of... if you are willing to read the introduction to Christianity but don't want to learn about or recognize the threat of Islam to Christianity (and every other religion including athiests), then perhaps reading something on an introduction to living under Islamic rule might be helpful down the road... thus the how to be a dhimmi for dummies book title... or whatever it was.

I threw in the other titles for free... no extra charge.

Thank you for defending me... I hope you know that I would do the same for you and in fact thought I would have to when you came out in support of victory in Iraq.
Fortunately you didn't get thrown under the bus that I know of... they mostly came after me, appropriately so.

I will go over and apologize to otter.

I'm still not sure what my reading Pope Benedict's take on Christianity has to do with reading books about Islam?

At this point, I really have no interest in learning about their religion apart from what I have already studied in great length. I have no need to read any books about Islam.

Technically, I have no need to read a book called INTRODUCTION to Christianity either I guess but it is a subject I was interested in. Contrary to popular belief (not pointing fingers at anyone here) I actually do read sometimes for pleasure. The strange thing is the books I take pleasure in reading are not the same as most people...I assume.

In any case, I was interested to know what the current pontiff had to say about the basics of the religion in which i identify with the most.

otter, it was a joke man... I apologized for it, now you can either try to make something of it that it isn't or move on or go back to sleep.
