The Health-Care Taxapalooza

Full story at the Heritage Foundation:

"Throughout his campaign President Barack Obama repeatedly promised the American people: “If you’re a family that’s making $250,000 a year or less you will see no increase in your taxes. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your personal gains tax, not any of your taxes.” Just 15 days into office, President Obama signed a bill expanding Medicaid eligibility that was paid for with a 156% tax hike on tobacco. Since slightly more than half of today’s smokers (53%) earn less than $36,000 per year, Obama’s first effort at expanding government’s role in health care also became his first broken promise. But that first Medicaid expansion was minor league compared to the estimated $1.5 trillion health care plan Congress is considering.

I am hearing rumors that some Democrats are actually starting to oppose that monstrosity of a health care bill because of how much it is going to cost.

There could be hope for us all yet.

Don't worry, ...Pelosi and Reid will whip them all into line in time to pass Obama-care....and it will be all theirs, to have and to hold and to squeeze and to own up to later.

And a big ole mess for the 2010ers (that is what I am going to start calling the New Congress that will get elected in 2010) to clean up after!

Hmmmm....that does sound like a good name for a band.

But especially good for something we need desperately like RIGHT NOW!

Call em all back! It's time for a do-over!
