July 4th Tea Party in Arvada CO Big Success
My wife and I took a drive today up over Guanella Pass near Georgetown CO which was gorgeous, had a 4th of July Hotdog at the famous Coney Island hotdog stand near the town of Bailey and then stopped by the "Tea Party Brewing" July 4th gathering today in Arvada (near Denver) on our way back to the house.
It was very great to see so many people, events, speakers and happenings going on in response to the out of control, running off the rails on a crazy train, socialist, government takeover of our liberties freedoms and rights.
No doubt about it, people are waking up and people are getting fed up with the direction our government and Democrats are taking this country. There were about a half dozen tea parties in Colorado and over 150 tea parties nationally today.
Best sign was from a young boy, (I'd say about 12 years old) holding an obviously self made sign in magic marker that read... "Tax Payers voting for Obama is like a chicken wing voting for Colonel Sanders"... the sign also had two teabags hanging from each side and some feathers hanging from the long stick he used to hold up the sign. (not sure what the feathers were for, maybe from the chicken...but they looked cool)
We bought some Tea Party buttons and stickers and stuff, listened to a couple of speakers including Jon Caldara and another fellow who was from Focus on the Family (didn't get his name).
There were lots of kids playing and guys with those tri-cornered hats and "Don't Tread on Me" flags and even tea party dogs were welcome as well.
Over on the side of the park, under the trees off by itself was a canopy with a "Ron Paul Revolution" sign hanging on it and about a dozen rolls of tinfoil stacked neatly underneath... to make hats with I suppose.
I guess it takes all kinds to make a tea party.

Our socialist government is spending money like there was no end
It's time to bring and end to the word "public"
No more public healthcare
No more public education
No more public parks
No more public roads
No more public libraries
No more public police
No more public firefighters
No more public military
No more public politicians
It's time to get rid of every socialistic institution in this country and hand it back to the private sector.
Even public servants need to go...and that includes everyone from the president on down.
The private sector and market principles can do a better cheaper job than any government entity.
Show your support. Pull your children out of public schools. Refuse to play in a public park. Don't ride on public roads. Don't call a public police if your house is robbed. Or a public firefighter if your house is on fire.
Stand up for your beliefs!!!

lol, my driveway is a private road and my computer room is also a private library... but I have never implied that I supported government run healthcare... or anarchy and I suspect the Hamster is just trying in his little fuzzy way to be sarcastic.
