Leftwing Hypocrisy Hiding In Plain Sight

Time Magazine finally asks the simple question...
Does Obama have an Exit Strategy for Afghanistan?

"(The Obama Administration) ...is escalating military involvement in a conflict its own officials freely admit can't be won on the battlefield — and this despite the growing cost in blood and treasure and an awareness of the limited patience of the U.S. public for another open-ended counterinsurgency war. And this at the same time as some of the key diplomats tasked with handling the conflict are speaking openly of the need to integrate most of those fighting for the Taliban into Afghanistan's political order."

Where is MoveOn.org and cries of "Did Obama-betray-us?"
Where is the Daily Kos screaming about this Imperialist President and Vietnam and lies and civil war and fighting a war the President himself claims we can't win... ?
Where is the Huffington Post calling Obama a mass murderer and liar and warmonger?
Why isn't MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and the rest running non-stop stories on the violence and killing and bloodshed with daily... no hourly... updates on US casualties in Afghanistan?
Why isn't Afghanistan Obama's Vietnam since he says we can't win but also says we aren't leaving...?

Simple answer is... Democrat wars are good and Republican wars are bad, EVEN if it happens to be the very same war we are talking about. Vietnam was JFK's idea carried out by Lyndon Johnson which was "good" and was ended by Richard Nixon....which was "bad"... so Nixon gets the blame for Vietnam by the leftwing media. Brilliant.

Under Bush, the war in Afghanistan was bad... but under Obama the war in Afghanistan is good even though (as He says) we can't win and that He is increasing troop levels anyway.

Maybe He should consider giving Afghanistan a big phat stimulus package, free healthcare for all Taliban and Al Qaeda members and a shiny new Obama-car in every garage.

As much as I think Vietnam was a bad idea from the start (remember the it was the Republican President that outright refused to send our troops in there) I can not bring myself to completely blame President Kennedy for the mistake....however, I do blame a lot of it on Johnson.

And Nixon was a patriot for pulling us out the way he did. Peace with honor.
