Vacationing In Iraq...

It seems that three Americans who were vacationing and camping in Iraq accidentally crossed over into Iranian territory and were arrested.

"SULAIMANIYAH, Iraq (AP) - Iran state TV confirmed Saturday that it has detained three Americans who crossed the border from northern Iraq, saying they failed to heed warnings from Iranian guards."

The group was vacationing in bordering northern Iraq...

"The area where the three disappeared is a popular hiking destination known for a picturesque waterfall and rocky scenery as well as a thick growth of fruit and nut trees. The official said camping equipment and two backpacks apparently belonging to the Americans were found in the area and it seemed they were hiking above the waterfall when they accidentally crossed the border."

More and more westerners are vacationing in Iraq it turns out.

Which reminds me how quiet the left is on Iraq and how they just expect us to forget their lies and claims of civil war, claims the war was lost, claims the surge couldn't work, the lies about General David Petraeus and the lies about pulling out and the lies about how things would turn out in Iraq.

It was only 2 short years ago that we heard Harry Reid declare "this war is lost"... now Americans are vacationing in Iraq and hiking and camping... (and wandering across into Iran)

Say that again... VACATIONING IN IRAQ... who among you would have imagined this would be possible?
