Left Not Interested In Brutal Murder Over Political Views?
The Michigan Free Press reports:
From The Weekly Standard-Harlan Drake, 33, of Owosso, was arraigned this afternoon on two counts of first-degree murder, one count of using a gun in commission of a crime, and carrying a gun with the intent to commit a crime.
James Pouillon, 63, was shot multiple times at around 7:30 a.m. as he protested across from Owosso High School, police said. [...]
[Shiawassee county prosecutor Randy] Colbry said the grievances were not known in detail, but that the killing of Mr. Puillon was related to the latter’s anti-abortion protest. But he said, “The defendant was offended by the manner of Mr. Puillon’s message.”
"When third-trimester abortionist George Tiller was murdered on Sunday, May 31, President Obama issued the following statement hours after news broke about the killing:
Isn't it interesting how the left was outraged by the killing of a murderer (Tiller the baby killer) claiming those who oppose abortion are potential domestic terrorists, but completely uninterested in the politically motivated murder of an innocent person exercising their right to mere free speech?I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence."
Smell the hypocrisy. Smell the rotting corpse of the Democrat party?

Katie Couric’s CBS Evening News on Friday omitted any mention of the murder of pro-life activist Jim Pouillon in Michigan, despite having discussed the murder of abortionist George Tiller on the June 1, June 2 and June 9 newscasts (and then referencing the killing as a recent “hate crime” in a June 10 report on the shooting at Washington, D.C.’s Holocaust Museum).
Both ABC’s World News and the NBC Nightly News, in contrast, offered full reports on the killing of Pouillon and a local businessman, but offered different explanations by saying "Harlan Drake, had grudges against his victims and another intended target but “none of them were specifically related to anti- or pro-abortion beliefs.
Not quite the same coverage or outrage that the abortionist Tiller got now was it?
Disgusting.

Liberal blogs like TPM covered this story. If you want to attack the Obama Administration for staying silent on this horrible story, they say "the Obama Administration" and not the blanket (and meaningless) "the Left". The fact is that many liberal blogs did cover this story, so your blanket accusation doesn't ring true.
And just how did those bloggers address this story compared to the Tiller the baby killer murder?
Dave... the media went crazy over Tiller's murder and are totally silent when the opposite occurred.
My point is valid... but I can understand why you (on the left) don't see any hypocrisy at play here... it's standard operating procedure for the left.

As it pertains to this article, I am sadly not surprised that the media has remained relatively silent on this while on the other hand screaming for murder when Dr Tiller was killed. Sad but yes, very hypocritical.
On another note, I feel I need to address something you are saying in your comment Dave.
The Obama administration these days is synonomous with The Left. President Obama is a liberal (leftist). He stands for liberal (leftist) causes. He has a liberal (leftist) agenda. He is by all accounts the country's representative of the left.
So as it pertains to this article, I also don't feel like this story is getting as much coverage as the Tiller murder did.
And so where did I attack you personally... by disagreeing with you?
lol get over yourself man, listen... when I attack you personally (which I wont do) you will know it... and this ain't it. Trust me.
Just because a couple of leftleaning bloggers mention the murder of an anti-abortion activist does nothing to dispute my claim and continued assertion that generally speaking the left which I am primarily referring to the Obama administration and their faithful flock of state controlled news media and those outraged by the Tiller killing are now in fact by and large.... silent. Certainly not outraged or inflamed.
If my assertion of this and/or your refusal to see it offends you, then there is nothing I can do about that. Offending you is not my intention but at the same time I am having less patience with those who are self-blinded about the liberal left.
I listened to Air American here on "progressive talk radio" today for about 2 hours... it's amazing that they are coming out in the open more about just how far to the left they really are, calling Obama "half Republican" and that they must eliminate the blue dog Democrats who are really just Republicans in disguise... that Obama needs to implement true socialized medicine now or else, that Republicans must be destroyed now and never let come to power again... and so on and so on.
Come on Dave... get with the program comrade or get out of the party. This according to those actually running things... the moveon-airamerica ilk.
I'm sick of it.
