"I Survived The Great Ice Storm Of 2007" T-Shirts
I say first layer of ice because several heavy layers were applied before the worst ice storm in our history was finished destroying most of the trees and most of the electricity in the process. God has spoken Reverend Meyers and it seems we are square now on that whole global warming business.
Let it go.
We needed to be praying to not freeze to death instead of worrying about overheating.
I know I sure did some praying for those OG&E guys to find their way to our neighborhood, and it wasn't to fix the A/C.
Through some creative engineering, I was able to get some power and some heat, but for a week all our meals were eaten cold in the living room huddled around a small heater with some candles and a portable tv, power cords throughout gave it that empty warehouse feel.
Mc Donalds and fast food for every meal may be cursed by health nuts and the left, but it pretty much saved our lives this week... and I feel just fine thank you very much.
Coming in from the cold to a house that wasn't much warmer than the outside was frustrating and demoralizing... we looked forward to bedtime because it was warmer. Just like when camping, as soon as the sun goes down my eyes started getting sleepy with no heat, lights and cable tv. Sleeping becomes a form of entertainment as well as comfort.
The electricity finally came on today about 2:00 and you would have thought we won the lottery, within minutes the heat was up to temp, I was in the shower and we were headed shopping!
So Dr. Meyers, next time you consider praying about humans ability to change the weather or affect climate changes... remember December 11th 2007 and your closing prayer.
Remember just how silly you sounded trying to give 'man' (humans) the "credit" (or blame) for global warming, just as God was demonstrating to you right here in Oklahoma who is really in charge of the weather and the planet.(Hint, not you or me)
Oh yeah,... Get your "I Survived The Great OKIE ICE-STORM of 2007" T-shirts while they are "hot".

Thank You very much dave, glad to hear from you.
I tell ya' that was miserable.
Holy cow what a mess, my dad's place is heavily wooded and looks like a tornado came through.
Did you have much damage and are you all okay?
Yeah, you were missed. Alot!
Glad that you both are well after your seven days of limbo.
I thought about you out there in eastern OK, glad you're okay too.
