Ignorant Question of the Century

Washington Post:- "The Senate unanimously passed a resolution yesterday apologizing for slavery, making way for a joint congressional resolution and the latest attempt by the federal government to take responsibility for 2 1/2 centuries of slavery."

"You wonder why we didn't do it 100 years ago," Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), lead sponsor of the resolution said.

Why "we" didn't apologize 100 years ago?
No... actually I don't wonder Senator, YOU DEMOCRATS ARE THE ONES WHO OPPOSED ABOLISHING SLAVERY you moron.... no wonder you all feel so guilty NOW, 100 years later, you were the ones who worked so hard to keep African Americans enslaved and still do so to this day. Senator, a quick google would have told you that 100 years ago (1909) Democrats were too busy defending Jim Crow laws to prevent blacks from voting and was when " White Democrats used their power to segregate public spaces and facilities in law and reestablish dominance over blacks in the South." Apology was the last thing on Democrats minds 100 years ago.
Yet you wonder...

Of course the Democrat controlled news media and the leftist college professors say it is the Republicans that need to apologize...

Swain, a professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University who had pushed for the Bush administration to issue an apology, called the Democratic-controlled Senate's resolution "meaningless" since the party and federal government are led by a black president and black voters are closely aligned with the Democratic party.

"The Republican Party needed to do it," Swain said. "It would have shed that racist scab on the party."

Republicans freed the slaves and voted to pass civil rights legislation... but no word from you about the racist scab that goes by the name of Senator Robert KKK Byrd (D) and his pals the Rev's Al Sharpton (D), Jesse Jackson (D) and Jeremiah Wright (O)?

Hey professor Swain, what about that racist, open, festering, oozing sore that is the Democrat(ic) party?

Democrats Are Dangerously Stupid: Example # 99, 999

Within days of President Hussein (or is that "insane"?) Obama announcing that the United States will abandon it's military program in outer space....

1- "North Korea (building nukes) is preparing to test it's long range missile capable of reaching the US via outer space".

2- "Iran (building nukes) has achieved the ability to launch satellites into orbit and would now seek to increase the ability of its satellite-carrier rockets to carry more weight".

So, 10 years from now when the US is surrounded by orbiting time bombs will anyone have the sense to look back and say.... we were wrong, that Obama cat was insane, what were we thinking?

Of course not... the left will figure out a way to try and "blame Bush".

Obama's Energy Policy Over Inflated

This past week Obama suggested we all inflate the tires on our cars and thereby end the so-called energy crisis and bring down the price of gasoline at the pump.

Overinflating your tires can certainly reduce the rolling resistance of your car and slightly improve fuel economy. But as this story points out, the results in terms of oil savings would be less than significant.
Unfortunately overinflating your tires will certainly reduce the surface area for braking and cornering also, thereby making your car less safe for yourself and other motorists.

A car with overinflated tires cannot stop in the same distance as a car with properly inflated tires, nor can it corner as well on average, although it will stiffen the sidewall of the tire giving the driver the feeling of more stability... to a point.

Hitting rocks, objects and potholes in the road can do more damage to a overinflated tire. Your tires will need to be replaced more often as they will wear out faster from running on a smaller surface area of the tire. Overinflating your tires will ruin your tires just like underinflating them.

The "not ready for prime time" presidential candidate Obama also said getting a tune-up on our cars would have more impact than drilling for oil. Even it they don't need a tune-up Senator?

So, lets review.
Obama's big plan to reduce our dependance on foreign oil is to make our cars less safe and more expensive to drive... BRILLIANT!
