Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn’t like how President Obama is handling the job — but she’s sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.

"Here's my problem with this, I'm just going to come out and say it. If I have anything to say against Obama it's not because I'm a racist, it's because I don't like what he's doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you're called a racist," Harmon told Tarts at Thursday’s Los Angeles launch of the new eyelash-growing formula, Latisse. "But it has nothing to do with it, I don’t care what color he is. I’m just not crazy about what he's doing and I heard all about this, and he’s gonna do that and change and change, so okay … I'm still dressing for a recession over here buddy and we've got unemployment at an all-time high and that was his number one thing and that's the thing I really don't appreciate. If I'm going to disagree with my President, that doesn't make me a racist. If I was to disagree with W, that doesn't make me racist. It has nothing to do with it, it is ridiculous."

Speaking of dislikes, the starlet has also had enough of the double-standards in the media.

"I do think McCain would have done a better job, only because I think he has more experience. I also think if W or John McCain or Reagan would have gone and done a talk show, the backlash would have been so huge and in his face, and ‘What is our president doing? How unclassy!’ But Obama does it and no one says anything," Harmon said.

And in spite of the scornful opinions most of her Tinseltown counterparts have shared on Gov. Sarah Palin, Harmon remains a true fan.

"I admire any kind of woman like her. My whole motto is to know what I stand for and know what I don't stand for and have the courage to live my life accordingly and she does exactly that. The fact that this woman has made the decisions she's made and literally lived her life according to that and takes heat for it is absolutely disgusting to me," she added. "People cannot look at this woman. I really think they're afraid of her and her morals, ethics and values and the fact that she hangs on them. Is she the most experienced person in the world? But she was running to be the Vice President, so we then put the most inexperienced person as the President. That didn't make any sense to me."

HELP WANTED in Obama Admin: Only Jihadists Need Apply

It appears President Barack Hussein Obama is actively looking for Muslim’s to fill spots in his administration.

CHICAGO — In a bid to get more Muslim Americans working in the Obama administration, a book with resumes of 45 of the nation’s most qualified — Ivy League grads, Fortune 500 executives and public servants, all carefully vetted — has been submitted to the White House.

The effort, driven by community leaders and others, including U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., was bumped up two weeks because White House officials heard about the venture, said J. Saleh Williams, program coordinator for the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association, who sifted through more than 300 names.

“It was mostly under the radar,” Williams said. “We thought it would put (the president) in a precarious position. We didn’t know how closely he wanted to appear to be working with the Muslim American community.”

While there are many fine Muslims throughout this country the person doing the vetting, Rep. Keith Ellison, brings chills up and down my spine. This is the man who recently made the pilgrimage to Mecca on the dime of none other then the Muslim Brotherhood:

WASHINGTON - There was no fanfare, no press release when Keith Ellison made the pilgrimage to the Muslim holy city of Mecca last week….

While he consulted the State Department over any potential danger, Ellison said, he wasn’t worried about his safety. He traveled mainly with fellow members of his Minneapolis mosque; no security guards went along. His expenses were paid for by the Muslim American Society of Minnesota.

Ellison said he’d like to make the journey again with his family. His wife is not a Muslim, but their four children are being raised as Muslims….

Ellison was not only a member of Louis Farrakhan’s rabidly anti-Semitic Nation of Islam, friendly with people who murdered policemen and those who have been engaged in domestic terrorism but he is the choice of the Saudi Wahhabist lobby in his run for Congress and has actively courted groups with Islamist sympathies, with ties to organizations like Hamas and those who believe that the U.S. Constitution should be replaced with Sharia law.

And with environmentalists continuing to block development of any and all new power sources it’s only a matter of time before electricity is rationed.

Day by day, our freedom to choose how to live is being eroded. We can either accept this slow road to serfdom or we can do something about it.

McCain: People Voted 'Mostly For Sarah Palin' in 2008

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Former Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain has no illusions about the 2008 White House race.

Hillary Clinton Voted to Block Border Fence, Now Blames Americans for Mexico's Drug War

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - An "insatiable" appetite in the United States for illegal drugs is to blame for much of the violence ripping through Mexico, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday.

"Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade. Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the death of police officers, soldiers and civilians," Clinton told reporters during her flight to Mexico City.

Meanwhile, NY Senator Hillary Clinton voted to block the US/Mexico border fence from being completed which would have virtually eliminated the problem she refers to above... while she sounds helpless and sympathetic.
2006: Voted in favor of amendment to kill border fence Sen. Clinton voted in favor of the Manager's Amendment to S. 2611 (whose main sponsor was Sen. Arlen Specter) that includes a provision requiring consultation with the government of Mexico before the border fence can be completed -- effectively blocking the fence from being completed. The Manager's Amendment passed by a vote of 56 to 41 to 1 (the 1 denotes a "present" vote) on May 25, 2006 (5:14 PM).

Michelle Obama is a woman who has clearly lived her life proud of her racial identity and what she claims are humble roots. “I was raised in a working-class family on the south Side of Chicago. That’s how I identify myself, a working-class girl,” she’s said of her childhood. And it’s that identity which she’s chosen to hold on to, despite recollections of childhood friends that she lived a middle-class life with a stay-at-home mother and a father on a city employee’s salary which, after overtime, came to $42,686. By way of contrast: in 1975, when Michelle was 11 years old, the U.S. Census shows that the median income for a family in the U.S. was $13,720, and poverty level for a non-farm family of 4 was $5,500. Her family income hardly reflects the “plight” of lower-class black families.

With Michelle Obama, you see, it’s not all about what race a person is. It’s about what race they are not. As Mrs. Obama has made clear, it’s not really about other people’s whiteness. It’s about how white people don’t share what she calls her “blackness,” a distinction she made it her mission to examine.

Her senior thesis at Princeton University analyzed that very subject as she sought to examine “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community”. (Mrs. Obama’s thesis, written under her maiden name of Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, has been temporarily withdrawn from the stacks at Princeton’s library until the day after the presidential election. A copy is available here.)

The purpose of her thesis was to examine how her fellow black students perceived their own “blackness” after attending “predominantly White universities like Princeton [that] are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the White students comprising the bulk of their enrollments.” Her hypothesis? That the more time black students spend around other blacks, “the more positive and compassionate they will be in their attitudes toward lower class Black Americans”. Or, to rephrase her hypothesis: if highly-educated blacks look down on lower-income black Americans it’s the fault of whites and their white institutions like Princeton.

Yet, out of a sample of 400 black students surveyed, only a mere 22% bothered to respond to her questions. When the data demonstrated that the more separatist blacks became the more hopeless they felt, and the more integrated they became the less hopeless they felt, she dismissed the findings, calling it “very weak.”

My speculation for this finding is based on the possibility that a separationist is more likely to have a realistic impression of the plight of the Black lower class because of the likelihood that a separationist is more closely associated with the Black lower class than are integrationist.”

In other words, those in favor of integration, of having friends of both races and experiencing both black and white culture just weren’t “black enough” in her views.- end

BigDog is powered by a gasoline engine that drives a hydraulic actuation system. BigDog's legs are articulated like an animal’s, and have compliant elements that absorb shock and recycle energy from one step to the next. BigDog is the size of a large dog or small mule, measuring 1 meter long, 0.7 meters tall and 75 kg weight.

BigDog has an on-board computer that controls locomotion, servos the legs and handles a wide variety of sensors. BigDog’s control system manages the dynamics of its behavior to keep it balanced, steer, navigate, and regulate energetics as conditions vary. Sensors for locomotion include joint position, joint force, ground contact, ground load, a laser gyroscope, and a stereo vision system. Other sensors focus on the internal state of BigDog, monitoring the hydraulic pressure, oil temperature, engine temperature, rpm, battery charge and others.

In separate trials, BigDog runs at 4 mph, climbs slopes up to 35 degrees, walks across rubble, and carries a 340 lb load.

BigDog is being developed by Boston Dynamics with the goal of creating robots that have rough-terrain mobility that can take them anywhere on Earth that people and animals can go. The program is funded by the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA).

If "it's" not "a life" (and alive), then what is "it"?

That group of cells which are dividing and multiplying on their own is not a tumor....
that group of cells that can ONLY grow into one single individual human being and nothing else, that mass of something alive, capable someday of running for President or just being a good mom or dad or a deadbeat living in your basement forever, tell me ...if it's not "life" then what in the Wide World of Sports is it?

If a human embryo is not the beginning of a human life... specific only to that unique individual and nothing else, then tell me "what" it is.... show me one that grew up to be a rock or even a tree or something other than a person.

"The Modern Liberal believes in the supremacy of the state.... For the Modern Liberal, the individual's imperfection and personal pursuits impede the objectives of a utopian state. In this, Modern Liberalism promotes what French Historian Alexis de Tocqueville called soft tyranny, which becomes increasingly more oppressive, partially leading to hard tyranny.... As the word "liberal" is, in its classical meaning, the opposite of authoritarian, it is more accurate, therefore, to characterize the Modern Liberal as a Statist." (p.4)- Mark Levin from the book Liberty and Tyranny....

Mark Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto" couldn't be more relevant or important. It is a masterful restatement of conservative principles that is succinct (205 pages) and yet comprehensive. It is thoughtful and deep but highly readable. It is timely yet timeless.

Conservatism is under attack from puffed-up liberals, feeling their oats with the ascendancy of President Barack Obama and the huge Democratic congressional majorities, and from a disgruntled group of conservatives who believe that conservatism, to remain politically effective, needs a face-lift.

Liberal columnists are writing with unrestrained glee about conservatism's internecine wars, and conservatives are engaged in intramural debates about which principles and policies conservatives should be promoting. Levin's book will go a long way toward muting the liberals' premature gloating and refuting the arguments of those who, perhaps with good intentions, would hijack conservatism from within and transform it into liberalism lite, all in the name of political pragmatism. "An 'effective' government that operates outside its constitutional limitations is a dangerous government," Levin writes. "By abandoning principle for efficiency, the neo-Statist, it seems, is no more bound to the Constitution than the Statist. He marches more slowly … but he marches with him nonetheless."

There has not been a widely read conservative manifesto as such since Barry Goldwater's "The Conscience of a Conservative" in 1960. Given the unbridled assault on conservatism today, not to mention the personal attacks on its leading proponents, we must celebrate the release of "Liberty and Tyranny" as the modern road map back to our conservative roots.

Having eaten, breathed, slept and studied conservatism, politics, law and history his entire life, Levin, who is my friend and client, is uniquely qualified and situated to have written this book. In undertaking this formidable task, he stands on the shoulders of the giants who have preceded him but has made those giants very proud with this work.

Don't make the mistake -- no matter how learned you are in politics or related disciplines -- of assuming you have nothing to gain from reading a primer on conservative thought. This is much more than a primer. It delves into the historical and philosophical roots of conservative thought and ties them to America's founding. It explains the enduring principles that undergird our unique constitutional system and exposes the dangers in continuing to violate those principles.

Levin identifies conservatism's relentless nemesis, the statist, who seeks to grow the state at the expense of the individual and his liberty. The statist's goals are clear, but his methods are deceitful: promising equality, security and Utopia but delivering tyranny. In the current administration, we are witnessing the rise of the statist to new heights. And he must be stopped if we are to preserve our freedom, prosperity and moral order.

When you read this book, you will learn or be reminded not only that private property and liberty are inseparable but also why. You will learn that a conservative is not only a free market libertarian but also one who believes in a civil society with an underlying moral order in which "the individual is recognized and accepted as more than an abstract statistic or faceless member of some group; rather he is a unique, spiritual being with a soul and a conscience." You will be disabused of the myth that conservatives are fixed in some time warp that requires them to oppose all change. Rather, they believe in change as reform, undertaken with prudence -- "informed by the experience, knowledge, and traditions of society, tailored for a specific purpose, and accomplished through a constitutional construct that ensures thoughtful deliberation by the community. Change unconstrained by prudence produces unpredictable consequences, threatening ordered liberty with chaos and ultimately despotism, and placing at risk the very principles the Conservative holds dear."

You will learn the meaning and significance of our Founders' belief in unalienable rights and that they are unalienable precisely because they come from God. Conservatism is otherwise unintelligible. "An individual may benefit from the moral order and unalienable rights around which society functions while rejecting their Divine Origin. But the civil society cannot organize itself that way."

You will learn why interpreting the Constitution in light of its original understanding is essential to preserving our ordered liberty and how we've departed from those principles, as with the erosion of the doctrines of federalism and states' rights and the destructive consequences that have followed.

Levin also unpacks for us the complex issue of immigration, the ravages of the welfare state, the liberty-threatening practices of the radical environmentalists, and the indispensability of safeguarding America's sovereignty and national security.

As the Obama administration has unleashed its extremist statist agenda, it seems providential that this book is just now being released. If this nation is to beat back the current administration's rush toward enslaving-and-impoverishing socialism, it must reclaim its founding principles, as brilliantly expounded in this book.

Obama is Not Up To Job of President...

Lance Mackey Wins 3rd Consecutive Iditarod

NOME, Alaska: Lance Mackey has done it again.

The 38-year-old son of 1978 Iditarod champion Dick Mackey crossed the finish line Wednesday in the 1,100-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race hours in front of the competition, joining an elite group of only two other mushers to put together three consecutive wins.

"We are so proud of you, Lance, and we're considering this the greatest team in Iditarod history," Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said.

She also told Mackey, a throat cancer survivor, "You continue to give all of us hope, the adversity that you have overcome, the challenges you've met, believe me, it resonates across our nation and across our world."

Mackey — a popular figure in Alaska now being called "the people's musher" — then thanked fans despite having slept little in the past 10 days. He accepted their congratulations and signed autographs with people lined up three-deep along the finish chute.

Mackey commended his "little superstar Maple," a 3-year-old female who was in the lead for much of the last part of the race.

He hauled her and 9-year-old Larry, one of his traditional lead dogs, onto the stage with him.

Mackey became the third musher in the race's 37-year history to win in three consecutive years, joining Susan Butcher (1986-88) and Doug Swingley (1999-01).

Congress ‘Hypocrisy’ on Company Trips Irks U.S. Hotel Industry

March 23 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Senate last month passed a measure limiting “luxury” spending for corporate travel by recipients of federal bailout funds. Two weeks later, about two dozen senators of both parties left town for political meetings on the Florida coast.

Hotel-industry leaders are seizing on those trips as ammunition in a campaign to get lawmakers and the Obama administration to tone down the rhetoric against business travel, which they say is adding to their economic difficulties.

On March 11, hotel executives including Jonathan M. Tisch, chairman of New York-based Loews Corp., which operates a chain of 18 hotels in North America, Bill Marriott, chairman of Bethesda, Maryland-based Marriott International Inc., the biggest U.S. lodging chain, and Jay Rasulo, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, a unit of Burbank, California-based Walt Disney Co. that operates its theme parks, met with President Barack Obama and three Democratic senators to express their concern.

Cancellations

The executives said the political attacks are having a broad effect on their business -- even though the restrictions are intended to apply only to recipients of federal bailout money -- and cancellations have been increasing as the rhetoric heats up.

“We’ve seen companies cancel meetings last minute, leaving 100 percent on the table just to avoid criticism and ridicule,” said Frits van Paasschen, president and chief executive of White Plains, New York-based Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., the third-largest U.S. lodging company, who attended the White House meeting.

“We’ve also seen meeting planners move meetings from resort locations to city locations, at a greater cost to their companies, again, for optics’ sake,” he said.

A preliminary survey by the U.S. Travel Association, a Washington trade group, suggests the hotel industry suffered about $1 billion in cancellations in January and February. Las Vegas has been hit especially hard, losing more than $131 million in non-gambling revenue in recent months.

On March 18, the U.S. Commerce Department reported that spending on travel and tourism fell 0.4 percent in 2008, the first yearly decline since 2001. Spending on accommodations fell 10.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008.

‘Sense of McCarthyism’

The political rhetoric “has a terrible sense of McCarthyism about it,” said Laurence Geller, president and chief executive of Chicago-based Strategic Hotels & Resorts Inc., which owns 19 properties, including the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, and who didn’t attend the Washington meetings.

Christopher Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat who heads the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, sponsored the amendment to the $787 billion stimulus package that requires companies that received funds from the Troubled Assets Recovery Plan to curb “excessive or luxury expenditures,” including spending on events and private jets.

Over the weekend of Feb. 27, two weeks after the Senate passed the measure, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the party fundraising arms for Senate candidates, each held their annual winter meetings in Florida.

Naples Fundraiser

About a dozen Democrats, including Dodd, 64, gathered at the Marriott-operated Ritz-Carlton resort in Naples, Florida. Donors who gave at least $15,000 were invited and offered a “coastal view” room at the group rate of $469, according to the Democrats’ invitation.

Dodd spokeswoman Kate Szostak didn’t return phone calls and emails seeking comment. Afshin Mohamadi, a spokesman for Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey, the chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, didn’t return a call seeking comment.

Democratic committee spokesman Eric Schultz said the group doesn’t comment on its fundraising.

S. Korean Defense Ministry: N Korea Planning April Surprise Attack

The Seoul Times- Monday March 23 2009- North Korea will likely carry out a surprise attack on South Korea, simultaneously with the communist state's launch of what it calls a communications satellite in early April, Yonhap News quoted South Korea's defense ministry as have warned on March 18..

The latest warning followed Pyongyang's threat last week to push ahead with its planned satellite launch in the sea off the Korean Peninsula between April 4-8.

"There is a good possibility North Korea may make a surprise but limited attack on some areas along the inter-Korean border, with global attention mounting on its planned missile launch," the ministry said in a report presented to a special parliamentary committee on inter-Korean relations.

If it does attack, the North's goal would be to create conflict between different factions in the South, the ministry report said.

"It appears the North is trying to incite internal conflict in the South while pressuring the United States' Obama administration to come to bilateral talks at an early date," it said.

CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said on Sunday his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama was at best an "ignoramus" for saying the socialist leader exported terrorism and obstructed progress in Latin America.

"He goes and accuses me of exporting terrorism: the least I can say is that he's a poor ignoramus; he should read and study a little to understand reality," said Chavez, who heads a group of left-wing Latin American leaders opposed to the U.S. influence in the region.

Chavez said Obama's comments had made him change his mind about sending a new ambassador to Washington, after he withdrew the previous envoy in a dispute last year with the Bush administration in which he also expelled the U.S. ambassador to Venezuela.

"When I saw Obama saying what he said, I put the decision back in the drawer; let's wait and see."

Chavez is not the only dictator seemingly bailing out on "the Prez of Peace".

Iran Rejects Obama's Hand of Friendship
Speaking a day after Mr Obama broadcast a message inviting the Iranian people to a “new beginning”, the country’s supreme spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, dismissed it as a “slogan”.
“They give the slogan of change but in practice no change is seen,” said Mr Khamenei in a televised address on Saturday to mark Iranian New Year. “We haven’t seen any change."

The administration is taking steps to recoup money that's gone out, as well as to put in place a financial stability plan and to seek progress on getting our economy moving again.

Q Let me just ask you specifically. When he says, on March 10th he was informed about the full scale and scope, is he saying that's the first he learned about it at all?

MR. GIBBS: Chip, the question is predicated on the report in the paper and I think the report in the paper answers your question.

MR. GIBBS: Well, again, I would point you to exactly what the Treasury Secretary said on CNN yesterday -- that the Treasury Department had concerns about lawsuits involved in the provisions. The provision that ultimately passed provides a clawback and recoupment look to bonuses through the TARP, at the discretion of an investigation by the Secretary of the Treasury.

Again, I think that the Treasury Secretary has answered this and has the confidence of the President.

Chris Dodd top money grabber from AIG and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac received nearly $1million in campaign donations.... wrote language in stimulus bill providing for bonuses to be paid to AIG execs.. while Tim Geithner oversaw the structure of the bonuses and bailout as NY Fed Reserved guru and knew about them far in advance of today's sudden "outrage".

Poor Okie Funk. Hochenauer could discover that (as I have pointed out before) the only so-called museum of dead ideologies would be run by the Democrat party as is proven by the FACT that Oklahoma's House and Senate were Democrat controlled for Oklahoma's first 99-1/2 years as a state.
The lack of jobs, healthcare and the schools he describes are the result of 100 years of FAILED Democrat ideology.... not Republican. Funk/Doc Hoc/Hochenauer should be hoping the NEW Republican majority can indeed fix things in Oklahoma instead of misplacing blame for political advantage.

Contrast Barack Obama's inconsiderate remarks about Special Olympics on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to what Sarah Palin had to say about the Special Olympics just over a week ago and tell me who's the crude backward pig.

Let's Talk About Race

President Obama has said we don't talk about race enough in America and his Attorney General called us all cowards for not talking about race more, so let's talk about race.

I think in 5-10 years we will look back on the Obama administration as an example of putting color ahead capability.
America, in it's rush to elect the first President of color, elected a man with absolutely zero executive experience, zero experience in managing a city government, zero experience at running a county or state government... zero experience in management period. A congressman doesn't manage anything except their campaign for re-election and he only had 2 years experience as that... and being an ACORN community organizer is hardly a qualification for being the leader of the free world.

We elected a man with questionable origins which remain in question, a man with questionable associates and questionable methods... but no questions were asked, because he was to be the first African American President.

No qualifications required. His race was his credentials.

In a few years America will see that instead of being "color blind"... it was actually only "blinded by color".

Obama Goes Off Teleprompter and has to Apologize to Special Olympics

Obama apologizes for his remarks on the Tonight Show. It's not the first time he's gone off-script and regretted it by any means. The President should not leave home without the teleprompter unless it's just to go to the drive-through at McDonalds or something.

"Obama's line on Leno was reminiscent of a crack at Nancy Reagan he let slip last year.

"I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances," he said at a press conference days after being elected last November, a reference to the former First Lady's consultation with an astrologer during her time in the White House.

Obama called the elderly Reagan after his comment and apologized about what an aide described as "a careless and off-handed remark."

It seems that when Barack Obama goes off teleprompter, we see a different Barack Obama.

A bumbling stumbling uhh, uhhh, gaffe-master likely to make "a careless and off-handed remark", surpassing even the well known public embarrassment skills of his Veep Joe Biden.

Off teleprompter, Barack Obama actually makes George W Bush look like a genius and certainly makes Bush look like a considerate, nice guy. I'm sorry folks, but this guy is no leader.

If SNL weren't partisan hacks they would have Fred Armisen doing Barack Obama as a complete empty suit incapable of any conversation without a teleprompter... sort-of a combination of Ted Baxter from the old Mary Tyler Moore show and Steve Urkel... but that will never happen with that bunch of political hacks posing as entertainers. Obama angered veterans and the military by considering bill that would force them to pay for their own healthcare related to combat injuries!
Obama angered pro-life Americans by repealing the government ban on funding for embryonic stem cell experimentation and destruction.
Obama angered gun owners by proposing re-instituting the ban on large caliber weapons and other gun control measures.
Obama angered business owners with his tax proposal.
Obama is angering more and more average Americans who are realizing they were sold an empty bag, a box of rocks, smoke and mirrors, snake oil, you know... good old fashioned Chicago style politics.

Worse, I believe, is the fact that with no experience at running government at any level and no experience at running a business at any level, this President is in way over his head.

WASHINGTON — Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was just a few paragraphs into an address at a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the White House when he realized something sounded way too familiar. Turns out, he was repeating the speech President Barack Obama had just given.

Cowen was set to speak twice at the White House on Tuesday night because there were two different parties going on at the executive mansion. No matter — he would give the same speech to the two different audiences.

But Cowen was 20 seconds into his second address when it dawned on him that he was giving word for word the speech that Obama had just read from the same teleprompter.

Cowen stopped and looked back at the president to say, “That’s your speech.”

Obama laughed and returned to the podium to offer what turned out to have been Cowen’s remarks loaded into the Teleprompter.

In doing so, President Obama thanked President Obama for inviting everyone over.

I know Obama is Irish and all, so maybe he had a few too many green beers or something... if not then we need to find out who is running The Teleprompter and we will find out who is running the country into disaster.

America is now controlled by a single political party almost having a filibuster proof majority.
That majority is Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama and the Teleprompter.

But we should have the unbiased news media to keep things in check, ask the tough questions, be skeptical and detached from white house talking points and spin, ... right?

The news media is biased and has an overwhelming vested interest in that same political party.

The news media is in the tank for the Democrat(ic) party. Stop pretending it isn't. The news media has failed us already. I could spend pages on how they distracted you away from looking at Obama's past and his associates and his family by getting you to look at Sarah Palin's past and her family... asking if her son Trig was actually Sarah's daughter's son, implying some giant scandal and cover-up, which of course was completely false. But it worked because the media made it work.

So, I ask all you so-called moderates out there that don't want this country "fundamentally rebuilt" in Obama, Reid and Pelosi's image one question.

Who is going to challenge them?

Those of you condemning Rush Limbaugh should be the first singing his praises even if not his methods.

For without Rush Limbaugh and a handful of others there would be no national voice of question and concern, no national voice of any opposition, no national voice of dissent... which if I recall correctly is supposed to be the new patriotism... no wait, that's right they changed it to paying more taxes is the new patriotism according to Veep Biden himself. It's hard to keep up with what Democrats think is patriotic... sorry.

Obama's Fraudulent Voter Group ACORN Bringing "Change" to 2010 Census Numbers?

You remember Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, more commonly known "ACORN." That is the "community organizers" infamous for fraudulent voter registration and helping to bring about the financial crisis.

When Obama told community organizers they will shape his presidency, I had no idea that ACORN would get to "organize" the country's 2010 census:

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now signed on as a national partner with the U.S. Census Bureau in February 2009 to assist with the recruitment of the 1.4 million temporary workers needed to go door-to-door to count every person in the United States -- currently believed to be more than 306 million people.

But ACORN's partnership with the 2010 Census is worrisome to lawmakers who say past allegations of fraud should raise concerns about the organization.

Lynn A. Westmoreland, R-Ga., vice ranking member of the subcommittee for the U.S. Census, told FOXNews.com. "We want an enumeration. We don't want to have any false numbers."

Now that the Obama White House has taken control of the Census from the Commerce Department and with ACORN to help organize it, the 2010 census ought to bring all the "change" the Democrats could hope for.

Leaders Who Lead vs Leaders Who Talk

There are leaders and then there are leaders.
Some lead by the old "do as I say, not as I do" methodology and others lead by example.
For example, treating the office of President with respect and dignity instead of using it as a hammer and sword to further your personal ambitions or to help your political party get an edge.
Here is an example of leadership even in knowing when to step back.

I wonder why Okie Funk's doc hoc is more worried about the government not having enough money than he is about you not having enough money?

Saying that during an economic downturn is "not the time to reduce taxes on groceries" while claiming to care about the poor is worse than hypocritical, it's cruel and self serving.

History shows that a recession is the perfect time to reduce taxes to put more money in the hands of consumers and less in the bottomless pocket of big government. Much is at stake 'comrades', they cannot afford to have the truth get out.... .....yet.

In The New York Times today appears "The President Is on the Line to Follow Up on Socialism," by Jeff Zeleny. The article's first 3 paragraphs:

"Less than 90 minutes after Air Force One landed, the telephone rang. President Obama was on the line, wanting to add one more point to a response he gave during an interview with The New York Times.

On a flight from Ohio to Washington on Friday, Mr. Obama was asked whether his domestic policies suggested that he was a socialist, as some conservatives have implied.

“The answer would be no,” he said, laughing for a moment before defending his administration for “making some very tough choices” on the budget.

The left leaning news media of course is compliant with the "not a socialist" defense, exemplified here by the NY Times implication that only "some conservatives" think Obama's a Socialist.

Bate's points out the following:

"Less than a decade ago, for example, the Chicago affiliate of the Democratic Socialists of America endorsed Obama for the state senate. They admiringly quoted him: "Few are thinking of harnessing the internal productive capacities, both in terms of money and people, that already exist in communities."

At the beginning of last year's primary season, the Communist People's Weekly World printed a letter celebrating an early Obama win:

"Happy New Year and congratulations on a job well done. These have been trying times when the hyenas of war have again been turned loose on humanity by a greedy ruling class.

Now, beyond all the optimism I was capable of mustering, Mr. Obama won Iowa!. . .

Obama’s victory was more than a progressive move; it was a dialectical leap ushering in a qualitatively new era of struggle. Marx once compared revolutionary struggle with the work of the mole, who sometimes burrows so far beneath the ground that he leaves no trace of his movement on the surface. .

In August, the same publication carried an editorial written by Sam Webb, chairman of the Communist Party USA. Webb used the opportunity to give his comrades their marching orders:

"In order to advance one iota of a pro-people’s agenda, the people’s movement has to elect Obama and to enlarge the Democratic Party majorities in Congress. Without that everything else is wishful thinking."

Days after the inauguration, Webb addressed a People's Weekly World event held in Cleveland and began:

"I was standing on the Washington Mall on Inauguration Day, alongside nearly two million other people on Inauguration Day, and proudly watched the first African American take the oath of office in our nation’s history. That alone made the day deeply memorable, joyful, and historic. But I couldn’t help but think – and I’m sure that millions of others had the same thought – that the transfer of power from Bush to President Obama not only tore down a barrier that once was thought near impenetrable, but also signified the fading away of one era and the beginning of another.

It was hard not to think on that cold day in our nation’s capital that the worst of the past 30 years of right wing extremist rule is behind us and that an era of progressive change is within reach, no longer an idle dream."

Later in his address, Webb observed:

We now have not simply a friend, but a people's advocate in the White House.

Joelle Fishman is the chair of the political action committee of the Communist Party USA. On the party's Web site she analyzed the election results. The article started:

"Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!

We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-people’s movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all people’s movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.

The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and people’s unity. . .

The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in."

Forced Insemination Fight (not attempted rape?) Ends In Arrest

PITTSFIELD — A woman who allegedly intended to artificially inseminate her wife with her brother's semen has been charged with domestic assault and battery.

Pittsfield police responded to a call shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the city's Morningside neighborhood, where the assault allegedly occurred.

Stephanie K. Lighten, 26, was released on personal recognizance after denying the allegations in Central Berkshire District Court Wednesday morning.

Jennifer A. Lighten, 33, told police that Stephanie Lighten, her wife, was "all liquored up" when she returned to their Lincoln Street apartment, where the defendant then allegedly tried to use a syringe to inseminate her, according to a police report.

Jennifer told investigating officers that Stephanie "has been talking about trying to impregnate (her) for some time," police said.

According to a report by Pittsfield Police Officer Kipp D. Steinman: "Jennifer said that Stephanie had a 'turkey baster and her brother's semen in a sealed container.' Jennifer said she told Stephanie that she didn't want to get pregnant." The device was actually a large syringe with a catheter tip, police said, and it was still in its original package when officers confiscated the item.

Detective Thomas H. Harrington said Jennifer Lighten declined "to go forward with charges of assault with intent to rape" because she did not believe "Stephanie was going to sexually assault her with the syringe." However, Harrington informed the alleged victim that attempted rape charges could be filed if she changes her mind."

"She did not believe she was going to sexually assault her"? Say WHAT?
Then exactly where was lesbian "A" going to forcefully put that Turkey baster to impregnate Lesbian "B".... up lesbian "B's" nose?

WASHINGTON -- Charles Dickens, who visited in 1842, described Washington as a "city of magnificent intentions" because of the incongruity between the city's grand aspirations and muddy, swampy actuality. Today Washington's discrepancy is not architectural but political. It is between the extraordinary powers and competences the administration claims it has, and the administration's inability to be clear or plausible about what it is doing.

Improvisation is understandable when confronting the unprecedented, but protracted improvisation precludes a prerequisite for recovery -- investors' certainty about the relationship between the government and the economy. One year ago this weekend, that relationship began changing when the Bush administration decided that Bear Stearns, the nation's fifth largest investment bank, was too big, or too connected -- too something -- to be allowed to fail. Seven months later, with the financial system frozen, Congress passed the Troubled Asset Relief Program, fresh proof that the titles of legislation, like the titles of Marx Brothers movies ("Duck Soup"; "Horse Feathers"), are uninformative about the contents.
Quicker than you can say "toxic assets," which TARP was supposedly designed to quarantine, TARP was subsidizing the manufacture of automobiles partially designed by Washington. Which recent government adventure in enterprise justifies such government confidence? Fannie Mae? Freddie Mac? Amtrak? Ethanol? The government has subsidized ethanol, protected it with tariffs, mandated levels of production and authorized 10 percent ethanol in gasoline blends, and now the shrinking ethanol industry wants government to authorize 15 percent.

Five months after enactment of TARP, a plan for unfreezing the credit system remains, like Atlantis, rumored but unseen. Twelve months after the government brokered the marriage of Bear Stearns and JPMorgan Chase, the government is recapitalizing financial institutions that the market has said should be shuttered. Lawrence H. White, economics professor at the University of Missouri, St. Louis, denies that financial institutions ever were "unregulated." Hitherto, such institutions were "regulated by profit and loss":

"The failure of Lehman Brothers and the near-failure of Merrill Lynch raised the interest rate at which profit-seeking lenders were willing to lend to highly leveraged investment banks. The market thereby forced Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to change their business models drastically and to convert to commercial banks. If that isn't effective regulation, what is? Protecting firms from failure (Bear Stearns, AIG, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Goldman Sachs, Citibank) and mitigating their losses with bailouts renders this most appropriate form of regulation much less effective."

The president's confidence in his capacities is undermining confidence in his judgment. His way of correcting what he called the Bush administration's "misplaced priorities" has been to have no priorities. Mature political leaders know that to govern is to choose -- to choose what to do and thereby to choose what cannot be done. The administration insists that it really does have a single priority: Everything depends on fixing the economy. But it also says that everything depends on everything: Economic revival requires enactment of the entire liberal wish list of recent decades.

The implausibility of this opportunistic hypothesis is deepened by Obama's rhetoric, which says "catastrophe" impends unless everything is done simultaneously. But his budget, in effect, says the danger will soon be gone and the new risk will be whiplash from the economy's sudden acceleration. Although only a small fraction of the supposedly countercyclical stimulus will be spent by the end of the year, the budget assumes that by then the economy will have perked up, and that it will grow robustly -- 3.2 percent, 4 percent and 4.6 percent -- in the next three years. Growth supposedly will cut the deficit in half -- growth and the $1.6 trillion "saved" by first assuming, and then "canceling," a 10-year continuation of the surge in Iraq. Why, one wonders, not "save" $5 trillion by proposing to spend that amount to cover the moon with yogurt, and then canceling the proposal?

The first president whose campaign was his qualification for office continues to campaign. And he is overexposed. ALMOST. Ari does a good job of making Matthews look "shameful" and points out just how wrong and biased Chris "a tingling up my leg" Matthews is while giving Matthews a lesson on the war and politics.

After all, economists just announced their findings that Obama and his economic team are a "failure" on the economy after only a little over a month in office, giving Obama a failing grade of 59 with a perfect score of 100 possible.

Now.... the "rest of the story".

The billboard above was the winning idea by DNC (Democrat party) wanting to ridicule Rush Limbaugh with the sign to be placed in FL where presumably Limbaugh would see it. All Limbaugh has to do is print something like... "But a rush to failure is what Americans got" on the other side of the billboard.

They might wanna re-think that one... before the rock falls on their head.... again.

Recognizing The True Enemies

America is under direct attack from two primary directions. Socialism and Islamic fascism.

Now for those who falsely claim that I only criticize Democrats... George W Bush, while fighting Islamic fascism, also must be criticized for helping the socialist takeover with his Prescription Drug Program, his government banking bailouts and his open border policy among other things... and he's not alone.

Other Republicans who voted for Obama's Stimulus spendorama and Omnibus porkapalooza bills are just a guilty as the socialists who are Democrats. There were actually more Democrats who voted against the bills than Republicans who voted for them.

Make no mistake Obama is a socialist and he's making our country more of a socialist country every day as my posts below and a rational mind will tell you.

It's about time for conservatives to take back the Republican party and our country from those helping our enemies destroy it.

Physical barriers, roads, cameras and sensors have all forced Mexican drug cartels to change their tactics, but the flow of drugs across the border persists. Three dozen Republican lawmakers today wrote President Obama demanding that more fence be built, especially the double layered variety that has sharply reduced drug smuggling in places like San Diego.

Wian: These pictures taken last week by a hidden game hunter's camera in the mountains south of Tucson, Arizona, show suspected drug smugglers carrying the large backpacks typical of the trade. Farther west near Yuma, Arizona Sunday, border patrol agents seized 800 pounds of marijuana in a camouflage utility trailer being towed by an all terrain vehicle through a wildlife refuge. And in San Diego Customs and Border Protection says this year, it has experienced an 800-percent increase in the number of pedestrians crossing at the San Ysidro point of entry with drugs taped to their bodies. Democrat Strategist Told Reporters He Wanted Bush to Fail

Just a few days ago I posted on that poll from 2006 which showed (51% of) Democrats wanted Bush to fail as President.

This showed the true (blue) hypocrisy of those Democrats crying today about Rush and us Republicans (and conservatives in general) wanting Obama to fail to enact his Socialist agenda.

It gets even better. Here is (Democrat strategist) James Carville telling reporters, minutes before the attack of 9/11, that he wanted Bush to fail:

On the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, just minutes before learning of the terrorist attacks on America, Democratic strategist James Carville (now at CNN) was hoping for President Bush to fail, telling a group of Washington reporters: “I certainly hope he doesn’t succeed.”…

Minutes later, as news of the terrorist attacks reached the hotel conference room where the Democrats were having breakfast with the reporters, Carville announced: “Disregard everything we just said! This changes everything!”

The press followed Carville’s orders, never reporting his or Greenberg’s desire for Bush to fail. The omission was understandable at first, as reporters were consumed with chronicling the new war on terror. Barack Obama: "No" to Giving Kids the "Same Chance" He Had

The 'Same Chance' Obama Had?

Outlining his educational policy yesterday, President Barack Obama said:

“And I want every child in this country to have the same chance that my mother gave me, that my teachers gave me, that my college professors gave me, that America gave me.”

These are wonderful words, but unless President Obama vetoes the $410 billion omnibus spending bill heading towards his desk, he will fall far short of living up to them.

Inserted into the omnibus’ 1,132 pages is language dictated to Congress by teachers’ unions killing 1,700 scholarships that enable kindergarten through 12th grade students from low-income families in the District of Columbia to attend private schools. Conservatives in the Senate fought to strip the provision from the bill last night, but were defeated by the liberal majority.

The D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program was passed by Congress in January 2004 and approximately 7,200 children have applied for the 1,700 spots in the program. A 2008 Department of Education study found that after just 19 months of instruction, scholarship students realized slightly higher academic achievement than those students who applied but were not lucky enough to secure a spot in the program. A more recent University of Arkansas study has shown that parents are overwhelmingly satisfied with their children’s experience in the program. Common reasons for this higher level of satisfaction included appreciation for the ability to choose their child’s school and the success their children are having in their new school environments.

President Obama and his administration are very familiar with the empowering benefits school choice brings to families struggling to educate their children.

Growing up in Chicago, Obama’s Secretary of Education Arne Duncan attended a private school. Growing up in Hawaii, President Obama attended a private school. Growing up first in Chicago, and now in Washington, Obama’s two daughters attended and still attend private schools. In fact, two of Obama’s daughter’s classmates are able to attend Sidwell Friends thanks to the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program.

By signing the omnibus spending bill, Obama will be denying these children the “same chance” he had as a child.

Some in the media are portraying Obama’s speech as “tough talk on teachers” since the president said he wanted to spend additional money on “effective” teachers. But the teachers unions were in no way disappointed with what Obama actually said. National Education Association president Dennis Van Roekel said: “I think people are putting words in his mouth and jumping to conclusions about what he supports.” American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten added: “The devil is in the details, and it is important that teachers’ voices are heard when we implement the president’s vision.”

Well, the voices of teachers unions are already being heard, and unless President Obama does something about it, those voices will cost 1,700 children the “same chance” President Obama had to school choice.

Okie Funk Has an Image Problem

Oklahoma ranks at the bottom or near it on many things like education, healthcare, roads, jobs. Oklahoma ranks at the top in high taxes and an anti-business reputation left over from 100 years of Democrat rule.
Okie Funk claims Oklahoma has image problems, but not from any of the above items... no no, Doc Hoc Funk is worried about Oklahoma's image problem caused by "God".

His latest rant suggests that Oklahoma's alleged image problem is because schools want to consider teaching an alternative possibility to Darwin's Theory of Evolution. This would normally be considered diversity and having an open mind. College is for challenging accepted but unproven theories which in this case is Darwinism. Funk points out that no-one has disproven the Theory of Evolution but fails to point out that it has never been proven either.

But to college professor Funk, a "theory" means it is proven science, beyond questioning and beyond considering any alternative possibilities whatsoever. To think otherwise would create an "image problem" for leftwing wacko closed minded Neanderthals like Funk.

Obama's tax plan includes drastically increasing taxes on charitable donations during hard times I might add. By punishing people for donating, more charities will lose their private funding and close opening the way for a government program which was in competition with charities to expand and grow and replace the charities... until the only way to get help is from... yes you guessed it, the government.

We already have free and low cost healthcare in America and have had for a long time. I have a link in my right sidebar to dozens of locations to get free or lowcost healthcare of all kinds right here in OKC alone. In the new Obamanation expect that list to go down... or go away, as a result of Obama's tax plan designed to make room for "change".
Americans are the most giving and charitable people on the face of the earth and give more than any country... but now won't have the chance. Government will just take it.

Princess Diva Pelosi Uses USA Air Force as her own private airline

Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has repeatedly requested military aircraft to shuttle her and her colleagues and family around the country, according to a new report from a conservative watchdog group.

Representatives for Judicial Watch, which obtained e-mails and other documents from a Freedom of Information request, said the correspondence shows Pelosi has abused the system in place to accommodate congressional leaders and treated the Air Force as her "personal airline."

The e-mails showed repeated attempts by Pelosi aides to request aircraft, sometimes aggressively, and by Department of Defense officials to accommodate them.

"I think that's above and beyond what other members of Congress are doing and what is expected of our elected officials," said Jenny Small, a researcher with the group.

The group reported that Pelosi was notorious for making special demands for high-end aircraft, lodging last-minute cancellations, and racking up additional expenses for the military.

In one e-mail, aide Kay King complained to the military that they had not made available any aircraft the House speaker wanted for Memorial Day recess. "It is my understanding there are NO G5s available for the House during the Memorial Day recess. This is totally unacceptable ... The Speaker will want to know where the planes are," King wrote.






In another, when told a certain type of aircraft would not be available, King wrote: "This is not good news, and we will have some very disappointed folks, as well as a very upset Speaker."



Note: Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich always flew home and personal trips on regular old private airlines like you and I and he paid for the ticket out of his pocket. I would venture to say that the students at Goodling's law school at Regent University are far more impressive than those at the Cornell agriculture school -- the land-grant, non-Ivy League school Keith attended.

I wouldn't mention it, except that Olbermann savages anyone who didn't go to an impressive college. As it happens, he didn't go to an impressive college, either.

If you've ever watched any three nights of his show, you know that Olbermann went to Cornell. But he always forgets to mention that he went to the school that offers classes in milking and bovine management.

Indeed, Keith is constantly lying about his nonexistent "Ivy League" education, boasting to Playboy magazine, for example: "My Ivy League education taught me how to cut corners, skim books and take an idea and write 15 pages on it, and also how to work all day at the Cornell radio station and never actually go to class."

Except Keith actually didn't go to "class" at the Ivy League Cornell; he went to the Old MacDonald Cornell.

The real Cornell, the School of Arts and Sciences (average SAT: 1,325; acceptance rate: 1 in 6 applicants), is the only Ivy League school at Cornell and the only one that grants a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Keith went to an affiliated state college at Cornell, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (average SAT: about that of pulling guards at the University of South Carolina; acceptance rate: 1 of every 1.01 applicants).

An estimated 300,000 construction jobs paid for by the stimulus plan will go to illegal workers after leading Democrats removed a provision requiring verification of citizenship, a leading immigration expert tells Newsmax.

The House version of the $787 billion stimulus bill required verification of the legal residency of anyone put to work by its spending. But that provision was removed from the bill before members of Congress met to reconcile the House and Senate versions of the bill.

Steven Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), tells Newsmax the verification provision was deleted by Democratic leaders even before the bill reached the conference committee, where differences between House and Senate legislation are normally ironed out.

“When it got to conference, the top people -- not just the conference members, but the top people: Reid, Pelosi, and Obama -- chose to kill the provision and not include it,” Camarota says. “This was a purposeful decision.”

The provision would have required that workers’ names to be vetted through the Internet-based E-Verify system. E-Verify, a joint project of the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration, gives employers a quick means of verifying employee eligibility.

“E-Verify is our most effective tool for preventing illegal immigrants from getting jobs, and they chose not to use it,” says Camarota.

The estimate of 300,000 construction jobs is based on U.S. Census and other studies showing that approximately 15 percent of U.S. construction workers are illegal immigrants.

Construction projects funded by the stimulus bill are expected to generate 2 million jobs. Assuming 15 percent of those workers are illegal, 300,000 illegal aliens would be employed. The actual number could be higher, however, because many of the projects are in states with high immigrant populations, such as Texas, California, and Florida.

Backward Rationality: Winning by Conceding and Losing

It's actually pretty funny.
Those on the left from the white house down to local bloggers seeking to destroy all opposition to their agenda are quick to offer their "advice" for how/what Republicans should do to win elections.
Their advice?
Disown conservative principles, eliminate Rush Limbaugh and become Democrat-Lite.

Right... Republicans need to take instructions from the people wanting to see Republicans fail.
Uh huh.

If the past election proved anything to Republicans, it was this one thing.

Republicans will never out-Democrat the Democrats... John McCain is one of THE most moderate Republicans in all the land... he had Joe Lieberman the VP candidate for the Democrat(ic) party in 2000 campaigning with him throughout most of the 2008 primaries for goodness sakes.

He was a "Democrat-Lite" until he signed Sarah Palin on, which is when his campaign actually took off. Otherwise it would have been a total wipe-out in the election. The truth is that Sarah Palin saved "the Maverick" from getting slaughtered.

So don't tell us that we need to move to the center or move to the left all you Democrats, lefties, phony conservatives and RINO's.... we JUST DID THAT and it failed.

WHEN Republicans are voted back into power and control in 2010 and 2012 it will be because they stood for conservative principles and supported re-implementing conservative policies... NOT because they became some milk-toast, middle of the road, vanilla, weak knee'd, leftist in disguise.

Nice try.

How about this.. just to give you something to think about.
Are you willing to drop your socialistic, government growth, anti-military, high taxes, spread the poverty thinking to avoid the inevitable reaction in 2010 and again in 2012 from the out of control government we now are experiencing?

FEC Confirms "2012 Draft Sarah Commitee" Filing

WATERBURY - A Connecticut group says it is the first in the nation to register to raise money to draft Sarah Palin for president.

Paul Streitz of Darien says the Federal Election Commission has confirmed the "2012 Draft Sarah Committee" is the first to file papers.

Streitz says all donations collected by the committee will be used for grassroots organizing to build support for the Alaska governor and John McCain's running mate last year.

Streitz says the committee so far has collected about $3,000. He says donations will be shared with Palin's organization once she declares her candidacy, which she has not so far done.

U.S. President Barack Obama’s proposal to reach out to moderate Taliban will fail to end the Afghan insurgency as it is inflexible Taliban leaders who are orchestrating the war, not moderates, analysts said.

Obama, in an interview with the New York Times newspaper published on its website on Saturday, expressed an openness to adapting tactics in Afghanistan that had been used in Iraq to reach out to moderate elements there.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai welcomed Obama’s proposal but analysts were doubtful.

“Obama’s comment resembles a dream more than reality,” said Waheed Mozhdah, an analyst who has written a book on the Taliban.

“Where are the so-called moderate Taliban? Who are the moderate Taliban?” asked Mozhdah, who was an official in both the Taliban and the Karzai governments.

Karzai’s pro-Western administration and the growing number of foreign forces in Afghanistan have increasingly come under attack from a resurgent Taliban, with Obama now describing Afghanistan as a top foreign policy priority for his new administration.

“‘Moderate Taliban’ is like ‘moderate killer’. Is there such a thing?”, asked writer and analyst Qaseem Akhgar.

Obama Okay's Using Human Embryos as Lab Rats

Let's be clear about exactly what President Obama ordered into practice today by ending the ban on government funded human embryonic stem cell research.

Each embryo is a tiny human being in his/her earliest stage of development, yet unique as any individual, each a one of a kind blueprint, frozen.

Embryonic stem cell research is experimentation on those not yet born but not-dead human beings. The president gave the green light to growing humans to use in science experiments. Nice.

If humans are going to take on laboratory creation of life (and we have) then humans must accept the responsibility for protecting it. Growing humans for their parts for experimentation is not exactly protecting life.

Whether or not you agree that life begins at conception, you cannot deny that each embryo cannot be anyone (or any thing) but that one individual person who's genetic blueprint defines that specific embryo. Even twins are different. That embryo is that person forever.

Meanwhile the left continues to ignore the existing proven science that embryonic stem cells are not needed since adult stem cells provide all the same benefits without killing the donor and are already being funded by US government research grants. The left also ignores the fact that there is already nothing to prevent embryonic stem cell research...as long as it's privately funded.

Let me be clear.
I support stem cell research.
Republicans support stem cell research.
We support adult stem cell research because it has proven to provide results and no one had to die to do it.

2- Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has 'non-public' (secret) phone calls every morning to former democrat strategists turned 'journalists' and/or consultants 'working' with at least 2 major news outlets (CNN, ABC).

3-The members of those conversations repeat white house talking points on air, sure... but those networks and others sympathetic to the white house are going beyond the call of duty, they are actively attacking specified Obama opponents with news stories designed to discredit, mock and destroy those enemies personally which of course was picked up by the openly pro-Obama MSNBC and NBC.

Summary: The government using the compliant media to control the message and destroy it's political enemies.

IF that isn't propaganda... then please tell me what it is.

Besides being a "bad idea", sure to backfire that is.

A local Oklahoma blogger in trying to make his case against conservatives (and for abortion), let it slip that he believes Obama won the Presidency because America turned it's back on conservatives.
