The following is NOT information you will probably be seeing over at Okie Funk or Kittenstomper or Blue Oklahoma or the Daily Kos or Sooner Thought.(without it going through the "spin cycle" first)

Andrew Rice (D) is running against Jim Inhofe (R) for the US senate. The above bloggers have for the most part been doing everything they can to discredit and destroy Jim Inhofe while promoting Andrew Rice as being "good for Oklahoma" and representing "Oklahoma values". They have called Jim Inhofe virtually every name in the book except a nice one, called him racist, anti science, backward, uneducated and worse. Andew Rice however is just a nice concerned young citizen seeking to serve the people of Oklahoma... unless you look a little closer.

Here is your chance to "look a little closer" at Andrew Rice and his web of connections to the extreme far, far, far, left. As far as his "Oklahoma values" go, it appears he got them from Woody Guthrie and not from anyone we would recognize as having Oklahoma values.

A perfect example of how the left attacks' good solid values men like Inhofe while trying to pawn off leftist socialist/communists on us under the guise of having "Oklahoma values".

To Okie Funk and the rest... your values (assuming you have any) do NOT represent Oklahoma and your efforts to bring communism and socialism and populism to our state is despicable and destructive. You are what is WRONG in politics today and it's time the people saw you for what you really are. Laughable but dangerous considering young people believe what you write and say. It's too bad HR 1804 doesn't cover traitors and communists along with illegal aliens.

So, "RUN Andrew RUN"... and take all these moonbat bloggers with you.

Update: Predictably, Okie Funk has raced to the rescue. After doing nothing but writing vile attacks against Senator Inhofe for the past year or longer, Okie Funk does what when someone fights back? Note to the septic tank out back, Inhofe is running solely on his record... while the rest of us are pointing out Rice's dismal record, ...which you refuse to do.

With about 4 weeks left to vote in the
2007 Worst Blog In Oklahoma Award, we have a close race for the bottom of the barrel.

Okie Funk- DocHoc has lead the way errr scraped the bottom since the first votes started rolling in. He is well known here in Oklahoma for his severe chronic acute case of Bush Derangement Disorder and his efforts to spread the disease to students at UCO like some kind of liberal blogging computer virus by osmosis. Fearing the worst and losing among losers, Doc Hoc (Kurt) has turned up the moonbat meter with his latest posts claiming that opposing Islamic Fascism is racist and that Baptists are the racist terrorists. If these two posts don't send Okie Funk to the Outback...nothing will. Nice work doc, you've really outdone yourself with these two steaming piles of hate.

Mahatma X Files - (formerly the left end of the road) Dr. Jhimmi is certainly trying to keep pace with Okie Funk and had the vote tied at 10 each a few days ago with a flurry of posts each one full of hatred and falsehoods, but so far has lacked that certain flair... that "over the top moonbat moment" needed to climb under the Septic Tank Outback. Here he defends his dead body counter at the top of his page... 1.1million Dead Iraqis
The 1million dead claims have been thoroughly debunked here and at Back Talk Blogs, but all it takes is a simple calculator and about 5 minutes. Divide 1.1+ million by the number of days since the war began... and see how many would have to have died every single day, week, month and year ...for that number to be true. (Hint: Nearly 1,000/day killed in the war... with 95% of them escaping the eye of the Bush hating media... I don't think so)
Somehow this counter based on actual historical data missed his attention however... even if we believe the left's fake number... there have been nearly 6x that number of abortions in America over the same time period.


The Daily Kos Oklahoma- Doc Hoc's influence and hatred spilled over and got the Kos solidly into 3rd place... but is not likely to make a run at Okie Funk... more of a teammate used as a blocker.

Sooner Thought came up with a poll of his own which showed that of the 17 votes at his site, 47% (8) of them believe the BBC over Fox News...shocking! Aside from that, the message at Sooner Thought is a repetitive one...votebidenvotebidenvotebidenvote... and he asks such deep questions as whether one should help others by meeting them half way...or do nothing?
It looks like Sooner Thought has voted for himself 3 times... so at least he's got that going for him.

Kittenstomper 10,000 Fists PhotoTune etc. are too lame to even mount a challenge unless they get together and come up with a whopper.

America: Taming The Wild Beast

I got this in an email, you probably did too, don't know if it's true...doesn't matter. I thought it worthy of some thought.

The story begins with a college student who had (legally) moved to America from an oppressive Communist country. He describes to his teacher (a liberal) in a simple straight forward analogy how he sees things 'progressing' in the US today. In his former country, food was scarce and times were hard. One had to be creative to do more than just survive. Here is the story.
When asked about his thoughts on democracy and communism, the student replied to the teacher, do you know how to catch a wild pig?
Excuse me?
"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground.
The pigs will find it and begin to come more and more often to eat the corn.

When they are used to coming every day, you go out and put a single small fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. They will be a little nervous about the new fence, but will get over it once they see that it is no immediate threat.
When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you go out and put up
another side of the fence.
They quickly get used to the new addition to the fence and start to eat again, un-threatened by the fence.

You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with an open gate in the last side.

The wild pigs, who are used to the free corn, will start to come right through the gate to eat. One at a time they will push their way in.

You then merely slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.
Realizing something just happened the wild pigs do get scared.

They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.
Soon they go back to eating the free corn that you purchased with the meat and hides of other wild pigs.
They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity to the point of being able to leave the gate open without one pig escaping."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America.
The federal government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading
the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned
income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine,
drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.

One should always remember "There is no such thing as a free pork sandwich"
Also, "You can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can
do it yourself."

You may think the free ride is essential to the American way of life, but God help you when the
gate slams shut.

No Debating The Left You Racists

Here is the way debate goes according to those on the left.
Ready? Okay.
Debate over, accept their claims as fact or else you're a racist.

While the left proclaims to simply disagree with the President and his policies and seek to only debate the issues, (does that make them unpatriotic?) the exact opposite is what they really end up doing every single time.

On the war in Iraq: There is no debate. First they were on Bush's side in the war and in spite of voting for the war on multiple occasions Democrats (without any debate on the issue) changed their view, called the President a liar, General Petraeus a liar, our troops murderers and called for immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Meanwhile, refusing to discuss the fact that Al Qaeda is even in Iraq, that Petreaeus was right, that Bush's surge worked and that the charges against the troops for murder were dropped.
Democrats refuse to discuss any of these issues, but they will call you a racist if you mention radical Islam or Islamo-Fascism, the war on terror, security at the airports or refuse a copy of the Qur'an (Koran).
Where is the debate?

On Global warming: In spite of there being more scientists refuting claims of man-made global warming than there are scientists supporting it, Democrats demand that we accept global warming as a fact without any debate whatsoever. When someone does ask for some discussion on the issue (Inhofe OK) they are dismissed and branded as anti-science...or a racist because the liberals say global warming affects the poor and minorities more than the general population.
Where is the exchange of ideas?

On Abortion: Try debating this one with a liberal and see what happens... I dare ya', ...you sexist, racist, woman hater. (no link required... try it yourself, okay just one)

On Healthcare: Hillary knows best, everyone else shut-up (you racists)... there is no debating healthcare, It's for the children, the poor and minorities.

On taxes: Try and discuss lower taxes and how it stimulates the economy...the answer is always the same..."Rich people hate poor people, you racists". Where is the debate?

On enforcing immigration laws and the border... "you racist", did I mention you are a racist, how about English as the official language you racist?.

On protecting marriage ... "you homophobic racist".

There is no debating the left on any issue because they believe there is nothing to debate.
Whatever lie they come up with at night, by the next morning it's settled law and fact.
They believe that they must be right, after all they are "progressive".
Therefore being progressive must be better than not progressive (regressive), so why even debate a "regressive" on the issues? To debate, gives credibility to the opposition.
Liberal logic 101.

Why did I bring this up?
To point out that the party of "tolerance and open ideas", of equal opportunity, is anything but that.
It is the left that uses race at every turn, at every opportunity, for pure political gain. It is the left that keeps poor minorities dependent on the government welfare check, on government healthcare and dependent on the government for everything. It is the left that is racist playing the race card even when it doesn't fit.

Moonbat Liberals will even refuse to debate the fact that they refuse to debate ...and will instead probably call me a racist just to try and end this "debate".

Oklahoma has a long and rich history of music to be proud of and celebrate during our centennial. Here is my little tribute to what I consider to be the best of Oklahoma based music.

Woody Guthrie's "Oklahoma Hills"...is the official Oklahoma state folk song performed here by Johnny Cash and Arlo Guthrie.


Oklahoma born songwriters Mae Axton and son Hoyt Axton gave us "Heartbreak Hotel"


and "The Pusher" from Steppin' Wolf among other big hits for other bands from Three Dog Night to Ringo Starr to a McDonalds jingle.



Finally my personal favorite, Leon Russell's "A Song For You" performed by Leon, Willy Nelson and Ray Charles.

No Korans, Plenty of Guts, is OK

Since the Oklahoma (*Qur'an) Koran story has been picked up by the national drive-by media circus crowd, I might as well weigh in on this.

The Qur'an (Koran) is the original source for the hatred being waged against America and the free world by Islamic radical fascist extremists. They point to the Koran as their map, their hope and their sole source of authority to exterminate all those who oppose them. These are not just a few extremists but represent up to 10% or more of billions of Muslims worldwide. The Koran teaches them to use suicide as a means to kill the enemy and achieve martyrdom in one motion with the reward being 72 virgins at their pleasure. The Koran is filled with hatred and is used to murder innocent people in it's name.

Those in the media and on the left (same thing) ignore the hatred in the Koran itself and instead condemn those who reject those ideas of hate, murder, suicide and destruction. So it is in the world today.
Now...
If you are serving in the Oklahoma Legislature...
I'm okay with you declining copies of the Koran, the KKK manual, Planned Parenthood literature, alGore's movie and Ahmadinejad's handbook on how to run America.

And just so we are clear..
It's also okay with me...
If you decline a free Centennial headwrap towel from Hezbolah.
If you decline a free Boomer-Sooner suicide belt from Hamas, Al Qaeda or the Twelvers.
If you don't loan your minivan to a guy named Abdul, Ali, Mohammad or Osama.
If you "return to sender" any package or item that is ticking.
If you decline any letter or package covered in any mysterious substance or dripping with any form of gew, slime, pink paint and/or white or any color powder.
If you decline an all expense paid trip to Syria, Iran, Lebanon, N. Korea, Cuba, China or Venezuela.
If you decline a fishing trip to Brazil with a bunch of trial lawyers.
If you turn down a free "pinwheel for peace".
If you decline a replica AK47 just like the terrorists use.

It's okay...
If you wear a US flag pin on your lapel.
If you support the troops by supporting their mission.
If you say God during the pledge.
If you pray in a public building.

If you challenge the left.
If you enforce the new law HR 1804.
If you fight for the rights of the unborn.

But mostly it's okay if you stand up, grow a pair and fight back.

BTW- Anyone with a keyboard or a library card can read the *Qur'an/Koran at any number of places, anytime they want and thus it does not require the acceptance of a token political gift in order to be informed, but not supportive, of the teachings inside.

Engram over at his BACKTALK blog hits another home run with his prediction on Afghanistan, Osama Bin Laden and why Bin Laden's best longshot hope still lies in Iraq.

Well worth the read, you won't be seeing this view at the Daily Kos, Okie Funk etc. and Engram can back it up with the numbers (uncooked).

I agree that an attack on the US right now would not get the desired result for Al Qaeda and that Bin Laden is smart enough to have figured this out based on his displeasure over Democrat failures pre and post elections. I might be looking for them to try and pull off something spectacular in Iraq to bolster Democrats opposition once again as a last gasp "hail Mohammad" long bomb scoring attempt.

Thinking you are finally headed out the back door, instead you go down into the cellar where you hear that familiar Hillary cackle of pure evil laughter as she says...


In a near panic you scramble toward the light...


as finally you find your way out, you can just see her riding off into the moonlit night on her broom as she exclaims...."I'll get YOU, ...and your little dog too!"

Two Things You Must Do Well

Okay this is a first (actually 2 firsts)... I'm going to post a recipe AND recommend a movie all at the same time.
If you like Mexican food then pay attention. This recipe is unlike anything you have ever had.
If you have already seen the Robert Rodriguez movie "Once Upon A Time In Mexico", then you may be familiar with Puerco Pibil.

If not, go rent the movie and watch it, then view Robert's 10 Minute Cooking School in the special features.

There are two important things in life that all us humans must do and therefore we might as well do them well. Eating is one of those things...(I'll let Rodriguez tell you the other thing) so, since you're gonna' be eating anyway, you might as well learn to cook something worth eating.

THIS is that one thing that you MUST cook and eat in your lifetime if you like Mexican food in the least. If you have guests over, it will blow them away, if not... you will save some of this and take it to total strangers just to share it. Yes, it's that good.
The aroma while cooking Puerco Pibil is out of this world wicked good between the pork, the seasonings and the banana leaves... unbelievably good and the presentation- spectacular. It is as they say, ..."To Die For".

Below is the full recipe plus a couple tricks and tips I have learned the hard way. Call ahead to local Mexican Grocers to find Banana leaves and ground annato seeds (both very cheap). Entire cost of recipe about $25 max. Will feed 6-8 hungry gringos. (Here is a smaller recipe)

Recipe from Robert Rodriguez.
*Ingredients:*
5 Tbs. ground annato seeds (buy pre-ground annato at Mexican Mkt not whole seeds or paste)
2 Tbs. salt
1 Tbs. whole peppercorns
8 whole allspice
2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. whole cloves
8 garlic cloves, minced
2 habañeros -deveined, seeds removed, I use 4-5 or 8 Jalepenos instead (better flavor to me)
1/2 cup orange juice (I have found that 1 cup of OJ works better, more sauce)
1/2 cup white vinegar
juice of 5-8 lemons
*splash or shot of tequila(*warning, a shot might get you shot).
5-6 lb. pork butt, cut into 2" cubes
1 lb. banana leaves, whole fresh.
*Prep. time: 15 minutes (more like 30min's for me)
Marinate time: overnight
Cook time: 4-6 hours
Yield: 6-8 servings*

Combine all whole spices in a old coffee grinder or spice mill, grinder. Grind them well, to a fine powder.
In a blender or food processor, combine spice powder, garlic, habañeros (Jalepenos), orange juice, vinegar, lemon juice, and tequila.
Place the pork in a large 1gal+ ziplock bag and add the marinade; shake well.
Marinate for 12 to 24 hours, shaking 2 or 3 times.
Preheat oven to 325º. Line a baking pan with the banana leaves. you will wrap the pork in them, so be sure to overlap them well and leave enough so the edges will overlap, making a tight "package."
Dump the pork and marinade into the pan; wrap with banana leaves.

Put more leaves on the top. Cover the whole thing with tinfoil and seal the edges so no steam escapes. Bake for 4-6+ hours or until pork is tender and falling apart. I turn the oven down to 300 and let it cook 6-7 hrs for melt in your mouth tenderness and a little thicker "gravy" sauce.


Serve over a bed of white or Mexican rice.
Garnish with a tomato wedge and fresh jalapeños and/or serrano peppers.

I make homemade refried beans to serve along with the Pibil and rice...
ahhhhhh heaven!

For leftovers, put the leftover rice right in with the pibil and let it soak up the sauce.... when you reheat it. YUMMY.

Hunting for the Real Conservative

In the last Republican debate (televised on Fox News), the very first question asked by Chris Wallace was "Who is the most conservative"? Meaning in the traditional sense of the word i.e. Reagan like, not in the moonbat sense like ronpaul, the question was directed at the big 4, Rudy, McCain, Romney and Fred.
This is like asking Joe Liberman and Zel Miller who's more liberal while John Kerry, Teddy Kennedy and moonbat alGore are standing next to them.

There should be no question about who is the most conservative and it's none of the big 4 that's for sure.

There are two kinds of people, ...those who 'gather' everything from those around them and those who actually go out and hunt.
Hillary Clinton is running for President at a time when America needs a hunter.

There are all kinds of almost-conservatives running around pretending to be the most conservative at a time when America needs a true conservative to lead us into the dangerous but bright future.

Oklahoma House Bill 1804

Oklahoma has done something it hasn't done very often in the past 100 years, which is to be a leader. Other states are already watching what happens here in the next 5 days when the new immigration law takes effect and if the results BEFORE the law takes effect are any example, it will be a huge success.

Reports from Tulsa to OKC to rural areas show that even before the law takes effect, Illegals are already moving on to greener pastures or home to Mexico. This legal exodus is already taking a burden off of our schools, hospitals and other public services freeing up funding for our legal citizens who paid that money in taxes in the first place.

Of course anti-border enforcement groups are outraged and filing lawsuits faster than Speedy Gonzales could get that piece of cheese and back before the trap could even spring. First they claimed the law violated illegal immigrants rights...until the Judge told them that those in this country illegally don't have that right... now they are suing on the grounds that it prevents illegals from their right to a home (which they are living in illegally).

Their "right" to own a home? Good luck with that one...lol

Oklahomans need to stand up for Oklahomans (for a change) and quit pandering to the very people that are a drain on our state, aren't in the state legally and don't respect our laws.

What about the jobs?
Well, without illegals to pay under the table low wages, companies will go back to hiring teenagers and other new 1st time workers who have been unable to find work or were considering moving out of state to find work. The higher paying jobs will be filled again by legal Oklahoma citizens who need work just as badly as those here legally taking the jobs.

Can Oklahoma actually enforce this law?
Yes of course we can, providing the law enforcement actually start doing their job instead of trying to be legislators from the squad car... or Police Chiefs office.

Can Oklahoma afford to enforce this law?
Considering the drain on government services alone the question should be "can Oklahoma afford to NOT enforce this law"?

Contrary to popular lies, this is not about race either. These people could be whiter than the virgin snow in Aspen Colorado on New Years Eve and it wouldn't make one bit of difference. If they are coming across our borders illegally... they are illegal and must go...white, green, brown whatever.

Contrary to popular lies, this is not about poor people. We have plenty of legal Oklahomans who are below the poverty line who are being robbed of their benefits by criminals in this country illegally.

This is about national security, this is about respecting borders, this is about enforcing the law.

House Bill 1804 is not only GOOD FOR OKLAHOMA and Oklahomans, it is good for America and Americans... and it's about time.

(i did) you will find posts on the SCHIP, on Inhofe vs Rice, on Hillary, Joe Biden's life history, Rush Limbaugh, Fred Thopmson, Rudy, Mitt, New Boots, immigration laws, taxes, abortion, football, baseball, TV programs... in fact they have movedon.org to their next war- Iran ! lol...
...but not ONE WORD on the war in Iraq, civilian casualties, civil war, carbombs, lying Generals, the murdering US troops, torture, waterboarding, Bin Laden, insurgents, illegal occupations, Vietnam or even hardly any use of the word "war".

This can ONLY mean one thing.
They've got no bad news to write about, no leg left to stand on, no failures, no bad news from Iraq...and if there is no bad news to report from Iraq, then there is no news from Iraq.

This is good news for the rest of us Americans who support our troops and the war effort. Since about 15 minutes after the war started (the time it took to come up with their first lie)... we have been treated to hourly assaults on our military, the war effort, Bush, Iraqis, claims of civil war in Iraq and phrases like occupiers, defeat is eminent, victory is not possible, torture, murder....etc.etc.etc.etc... ~

But now THEY'VE GOT NOTHING... except the constant searching every day for that one scrap of crap to re-start their defeat machine... but for now, "they got nuttun".

So you can read about everything in the wide world of sports EXCEPT about Iraq at their blogs. On Iraq, Okie Funk writes...(cricket noise) and Sooner Thought adds (cricket noise) while the Daily Kos reports (cricket noise) and of course Blue Oklahoma is quick to point out (cricket noise) and Kittenstomper makes the case that (cricket noise).... across the liberal blogosphere the cry goes out...(cricket noise).

I submit this to you as 100% proof that in fact.... "Defeat is lost".
I also rest my case.

Unless you want to use the facts that violence and death in Iraq is down over 70%...yes, 70% since just a few months ago (June) , that AQI is "cutting and running", local Iraqis are working with US troops and each other to rid itself of AQI and other groups who had been trying to hijack their country, or that US military casualties are the lowest in over a year and the country is moving forward and their economy is growing.
OR the fact that I (Red S Tater) have even been able to write about other issues instead of constantly having to debunk liberal bunk, and even have some fun. (worst blog awards)

But numbers and actual data confuse the antiwar liberals.... so I refer you to back to Exhibit A.

I shouldn't have to (nor will I) hold your hands and lead you over and make you drink...the truth. If you are really interested in the truth on the war, you can find it easily... if you want it.

I suggest starting with Engram at Backtalk for a good foundation from which to understand the war in Iraq laid out in logical order. The news media does not have the math skills to bring the story to you and you won't get it anywhere else.

Tempted to go on, that is the ONLY plug in this post other than the antiwar blogs I mentioned. Why mention them?
Well they are repackaged copies of moveon.org and daily kos.
Why is that important?
It has been proven that these blogs help create the lies that end up on the front pages of every liberal newspaper and every liberal news organization which is pretty much 99.999% of the papers and media ion the country.

So, if you use antiwar liberal blogs, mediamatters, the mainstream- drive-by, Al Qaeda-hugging news media as your sources of info, enjoy reading about everything BUT the war in Iraq.

Let's watch and see which one of them tries to cover their tracks and quickly get something posted to still claim otherwise....

Only 5 days into the voting for the 2007 WORST BLOG OF THE YEAR- Oklahoma and we already have 20 voters in the poll which runs to the first of December. Okie Funk took the early lead and has never trailed, currently with 6 votes and a commanding 2:1 edge over the nearest challengers Daily Kos-Oklahoma and Photo Tune. Of course dochoc at Okie Funk has another edge in that he also posts at Daily Kos-Oklahoma and Blue Oklahoma assuring their nomination for the dishonorable award. When is ABORTION Justified?

Alright boys and girls... this one might leave a mark and you might feel a little sting.
I spent some time reviewing the candidates for the 2007 Worst Blog of the Year award (Oklahoma) and certainly learned more than I wanted to about each of the nominees (VOTE in the right margin). Now I'm not going to steal the thunder from an upcoming post by "The Better Half", but in looking at the blog "I Am Emily X", I found some staggering comments by the paranoid but proud worker-bee at the Planned Un-parenthood here in OKC.
We'll just leave it at that for the moment, but it does cause me to post this next one which I had written some time ago on ABORTION and updated. I apologize in advance for the length of the post, but this is not a soundbite subject. I will try and be as clear and short as possible.

“Unwanted Pregnancy”

This is a term used frequently by abortion supporters but what exactly is an “unwanted pregnancy” anyway?

Does it mean someone WANTED to GET pregnant (or didn’t care enough to prevent it) but then (after getting pregnant) decided that she didn’t want to actually BE pregnant?

Or does it mean that she simply never thought about it and didn’t ask herself that question (do I care if I get pregnant now) beforehand and therefore is allowed to (after the fact) make the decision?

Is an unwanted pregnancy a justifiable reason to commit homicide?

One must consider how many ways are there to keep from getting pregnant in the first place.
(About a zillion...or more)

Which leads to asking how many legitimate ways are there to accidentally/unintentionally get pregnant?

Primarily two (rape and incest) since there is no such thing as “swimming pool” babies or airborne viruses that randomly cause unwanted pregnancy. (return to this point below) Contraception failure is extremely rare, but does also occur.

In fact it is much more difficult to GET pregnant than to NOT get pregnant.

A woman can only get pregnant about 4-5 days out of each 28-30 day cycle. (60 days maximum out of each 365 days) It is truly a “MIRACLE”!!

God made it that way (fairly difficult) for a reason.

We, as simple human beings, can only appreciate the gift of LIFE if it were not so easy to make happen. If women had litters or got pregnant every month, then it could be a burden and a "problem". But it isn’t either a burden or problem since it is a choice that one must take very seriously BEFORE the choice is made.

The baby human infant heart starts to beat at a mere 2 weeks after CONCEPTION. (which is at 1 week/1 late period). If you stop a living, beating, human heart, then what else can it be besides murder? Justifiable homicide under the “best” of conditions.

All any person has to do is use protection or abstain from sex for those 4-5 days/month to avoid getting pregnant. That is it. She can track which days those are quite easily by temperature and other means including instant at-home ovulation tests (for $1 ea).

So, how many ways are there to get pregnant without FIRST making the CHOICE to have unprotected sex? (basically two)

Rape and incest. These two examples represent less than 0.01% of all abortions in the US (9,000/1.3mi+) yet are used as some of the primary reasons for abortion rights. It is debatable if even under these circumstances abortion is appropriate. Here is an article by a group of Physicians on the subject of rare cases where abortion is justified including when the health of the mother is at risk.

"The unborn child’s right to life and liberty is given by his or her Creator, not by his or her parents or by the state. The right to life is inalienable: that is, not to be trespassed upon by another."

How can it be justified for a pregnant woman (who intended to get pregnant) to suddenly get mad at her husband (or significant other) and decide to kill THEIR unborn child as punishment for something he may or may not have done (without consulting him or anyone else) late in the pregnancy or even after the unborn child is capable of living outside the womb?

There is currently nothing to stop her and apparently (according to many) nothing wrong with it. There are more of these type abortions than the two examples (rape and incest) above COMBINED.

How can it be okay for a 13, 14. 15, 16 year old to (with the school nurse’s help) sneak out and get an abortion without parental consent, yet the school nurse can’t give her an aspirin without parental consent? (or not at some schools even WITH parental consent)

How did we become a society that would rather “kill the unborn baby” than to prevent the "unwanted pregnancy" from happening in the first place?

Now, don’t get me wrong I’m all about choices. Good choices however not bad ones.
I will defend an adult woman’s right to do with her body what she wants… (as long as it doesn’t involve killing someone else).

But 2007 is not 1807 or even 1957.

Today, there are more ways to keep from getting pregnant than there are ways to have sex (and get pregnant).

Women who cannot afford contraception can get it for free.

Men can purchase a condom at virtually every gas station, grocery store or pharmacy for a couple of quarters, and women can simply say “no protection - no sex”.

But that is not enough for the “murdering moms” and Planned un-Parenthood.
They pretend pregnancy is like an air-born “virus” that women get by just walking around at the mall and therefore they have the right (or duty) to kill that unwanted “virus”.

"Speaking for the PP, Dr. Warren Hern refers to human pregnancy as "an episodic, moderately extended chronic condition ... May be defined as an illness ... Treated by evacuation of the uterine contents..."("Is Pregnancy Really Normal?" Family Planning Perspective, Planned Parenthood, vol. 3, No. 1, Jan. 1971, pg. 9)"

How in the wide world of sports can liberal-left Democrats protest passionately against capitol punishment for convicted mass murderers, but support capitol punishment for innocent unborn children?

Someone explain that one to me.

If Mary and Joseph were alive today and living in America, would Mary choose to kill her unborn child rather than try and convince her husband that God is actually the baby’s father and that she had NOT been unfaithful? (good luck with that one)

If YOU were chosen by God to have HIS son, would you have the “right” to CHOOSE to kill that unborn baby and deprive the world of His grace?

In fact, all babies are given to us by the grace of God, no matter when or how they were conceived.

Women are quick to blame the problems of the world on men and our violent ways yet it is women who are responsible for the needless slaughter of millions of unborn children each and every year. Hundreds of times the number of deaths in a war that people protest over each and every death. Well over 5 million American children have died from abortion just since the start of the Iraq war. All justified?

Women get away with murder every single day and call it a simple choice.

We all assume that women have been hardwired with compassion. But, where is the compassion in this kind of genocidal murder? What kind of woman could do that to her own flesh and blood without thinking twice?
Answer: They don’t think twice and it is the job of people like Planned Un-parenthood to make sure they don’t think twice by denying them access to sonograms, information on adoption and alternatives to abortion.

Natural? You never see any other animal on this planet intentionally kill its UNBORN babies in an act of genocide for any reason. It doesn’t happen. Yes, you will see an animal kill it’s young after being touched by humans and you will see male animals killing small babies as a part of self preservation, but NEVER before they are even born as a “choice” or because it just wasn’t “a good time” for them. Nature takes care of such matters very effectively.

If abortion HAD been a common practice 100 or 200 years ago, would we have ever known George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Marie Currie, Martin Luther King, or Albert Einstein? What if Hillary Roddam Clinton’s mother had felt the way Hillary feels about abortion, would we have a Hillary running for President today?

What great works of art or literature would have never been written had the mothers of those individuals “chosen” to kill them before they were born?

If we truly are a compassionate higher species, then we need to BAN genocidal baby-killing in our lifetime. As the Doctors I mentioned (and linked )above wrote...

"In conclusion, there are no occasions in which the intentional killing of the pre-born child is justified. Scientific fact and divine law are clear: life begins at conception, and there are no exceptions to the prohibition of intentionally killing an innocent human being. We must stand true to these foundational principles through every emotional appeal and in every tragic scenario if we are to have any principles at all for which to stand."

UPDATE: 10/24-07 Sarah raised some very good points in the comments section which are fairly well addressed by the Association of Pro-Life Physicians such as When Does Human Life Begin?. The legal system is wrestling with this issue as well.. What is a human being?

Update2: 10/25- Coining the term First degree prenatal justifiable homicide. "1st degree (premeditated) Prenatal (unborn infant) *Justifiable Homicide (death of another resulting from justifiable actions) . Yes, I'm aware of this case... tough call. But my definition wouldn't criminalize "the big A" but merely calls it what it is... and in fact would legalize it...(but expose it).

Then you can be as "pro-choice" as you want. Under my definition the debate would be about the "Justifiable" part (when it is and when it isn't) instead of assuming it is only a womens health right. Under my definition, (1st degree PJH) self defense would be considered "justifiable" to most people for example. Involuntary prenatal manslaughter could apply to car accidents... and so on. Now, of course I'm no downtown city laawyah, nor do I claim to be, I'm just sayin'... the unborn are human beings and might deserve to be protected by the same laws as the rest of us.

2007 World Series: Rockies vs Red Sox

My Colorado Rockies take on the Boston Red Sox in the fall classic.



Having attended games at both Coors Field and Fenway Park, I can almost imagine actually being at the upcoming MLB World Series.



The word that comes to mind is "electric" and I only hope the play is as good as the crowds promise to be. Considering Colorado comes into the 7 game series having won 10 in a row in the playoffs and 21 out of their last 22 games along with the best fielding (defensive) stats in the history of baseball, expectations are pretty high for a team that just a couple of years back couldn't have imagined being in this position. To use a common term to Coloradoans, they are a MILE HIGH.



Boston comes into the series with a lot of confidence of their own having been in this position just 3 years ago and (finally) winning it all.


The Rockies come in not knowing any better and believe they will win. Blake street will be buzzing with baseball and ohhhh how I wish I could be there for real.

Post DEBATE UPDATE:Mind you we are still OVER a full year away from election day 2008 It was interesting that the first question of the debate was "WHO IS MORE CONSERVATIVE"?
Unfortunately they asked the wrong candidates.
The question was posed to Rudy, Mitt, McCain and (from)Fred Thompson. They each got at least 2+ minutes to respond. Duncan Hunter, Mike Huckabee and Tom Tancredo each got zero minutes but were not even asked questions until much, much later in the debate.
Hmmmmm That's ODD we are a year away from voting and they have narrowed it down to 3 or 4 candidates? The Better Half posted on this immediately following the debate.

Let's compare the candidates and see who is "The Real Deal" as I wrote without knowing it was even in question.
Rudy? Not so much, while Rudy is the best at articulating and selling his opinions, he can make no claim to being the most conservative with his views on abortion, gun control, the borders...
John? Not so much, while Senator McCain is a honorable and likable man, his border record and other issues assure he is not the most conservative.
Mitt? Gay marriage, borders, guns...

So the 4 candidates that were asked who is the most conservative Presidential candidate, NONE of the above was not the answer given...but should have been.

Do They Hate Horses Too?

In the late 1960's early 70's when many Americans discovered Sex Drugs and RockNroll others were "Seeing the USA in their Chevrolet" and falling in love with the musclecar.




Manufacturers were scrambling to make the next, fastest, baddest hotrod with the biggest engine in the smallest chassis.


But what was to become the current "liberal left" in America decided that cars were bad. California started the movement (shocking) with strict emission standards causing Mfr's to make special "CA" modifications for sales of cars in California. A shortage on supplies of gasoline (and issues in the middle east) caused gas prices to shoot up temporarily and panic set in. The left used this as a scare tactic to make Americans drive smaller, lower hp, less efficient but "cleaner" cars that would save us all tons of money on gas.

Their answer was the Ford Pinto and Chevy Vega and of course for all of us to drive foreign cars.

Their strategy worked.... for a while that is.

But Pinto's caught on fire in most accidents, Vega's rattled themselves to pieces, gas prices didn't continue to climb as some had claimed and Americans came back to bigger engines in bigger vehicles and the SUV was born.
Even sexy new retro musclecars were rolling off the assembly lines!

Almost immediately the left went on the attack. Across the land the cry went out that SUV's have gotta' go because they're causing global warming and destroying the planet.

I'll bet you a large Dr. Pepper that even if we were experiencing "global cooling" it would still be the automobile's fault... and even if suddenly the temp never changed again.... guess what, it would be the result of driving cars too much and destroying the natural ebb and flow of climate change!

So I'm wondering why the Left hates cars so much.
Is it simply gasoline (oil)?
That's the easy answer, until you ask why do they hate oil?
Is it the environment?
Again, that's the easy answer... if you don't ask any more questions, (like the left)
But, they also hate nuclear power (not in my backyard), Electricity (hydroelectric dams/lakes cause environmental damage) and even wind power (not if it obstructs MY view).

Okay, so what's left to use to heat our homes and power transportation, industry with?

Can you imagine for a second... if all the homes and businesses in America were heated with wood? (It's organic and replenishable folks) The smog would be so thick you could cut it with a knife. So that's out. No heat or A/C.
BTW- Since one single cord of wood produces as much emissions as 10 SUV's, how much does a thousand acres of burning wood in a forest fire started by lightning contribute to global warming?

Anyway, besides sitting in a cold dark (or hot) house, we could get to our cold dark jobs riding a horse I suppose...

But no, the methane gas alone would destroy the planet. Horses are bad.
We could all go to work riding our shiny new bicycles with a little bell on it. Except rubber mfg. is bad and there might be lead in the paint and there would be no iron or steel manufacturing (no oil, coal or hot enough fire), or plastic, so bikes are out.

Okay I've got it... we could all go to our cold- dark- jobs on roller skates.

(Or inline skates if you prefer) except that there wouldn't be any paved roads (no asphalt) .
Concrete can't be good for the environment either, so sidewalks are out. Forget skating.


Exercise is good, so we could all just walk to our cold (hot) dark jobs, ...except there probably wouldn't be any jobs to walk to either.

Sound's lovely doesn't it?

Oklahoma is NOT a wealthy state by any standard yet the Governor and Police Chief seem to think that there is an unlimited source of funding... not for our schools, or roads, or bridges or for economic development... no instead they think Oklahoma has so much extra money lying around that we can afford to fund the entire country of Mexico's healthcare needs.

The OKC Chief of Police claims he doesn't have the manpower or funding to enforce immigration laws, YET the intentional disregard for enforcing those same laws will cost Oklahomans far more in the long run than enforcing them would in the short term.

Brad "Pinwheels For Peace" Henry and Bill "I can't enforce the laws" Citty have a plan.
A plan to bankrupt Oklahoma and neglect the needs of legal citizens in favor of illegals.
I can hardly wait to see what kind of scheme the Democrat legislature comes up with to cover them with... how about a new $5 per taco tax to pay for this, or more likely they will find a way to make smokers pay for illegals with another tobacco tax.
When in doubt tax the smokers, seems to be the battle cry for the left but as soon as they find out that many illegals smoke, that would be viewed as an unfair tax.

If the Gov and Police Chief can't/won't follow the laws, why should any of us?

Global Warming Update: Quick, Fire Up The SUV

Scientists are reporting that data shows the so called global warming "trend" has stalled and temps have not risen over the past decade, but in fact predict that global temps may be going DOWN.

So, fire up that SUV, light a cigar, use some hairspray and leave your lawnmower running all night...hey, it's for the planet!

FINALLY, some truth and good news boys and girls.
The news media is no longer able to carry the water for Democrats AND Al Qaeda at the same time.
Truth has a way of getting out (eventually), and Petraeus was spot-on accurate in his report to congress and America. In fact things have only gotten better for the US and Iraqis since then, to the point that many experts are saying that Al Qaeda is crippled and nearly defeated in Iraq.
The Washington Post (of all places) has the details and great news.

"There is widespread agreement that AQI has suffered major blows over the past three months. Among the indicators cited is a sharp drop in suicide bombings, the group's signature attack, from more than 60 in January to around 30 a month since July. Captures and interrogations of AQI leaders over the summer had what a senior military intelligence official called a "cascade effect," leading to other killings and captures. The flow of foreign fighters through Syria into Iraq has also diminished..."

Why do I say "of all places" the Washington Post?

It was just a few months ago (July 07) that they (along with Democrats in March of 07) refused to admit Al Qaeda was anywhere near Iraq. Iraq was just a big 'ol civil war and nothing else... remember? Well Engram at BackTalk certainly remembers and lays it all out. (worth the read)

No, the war is not over, but the single biggest obstacle to Iraq becoming that "Free and Democratic society and friend in the war on terror" (Bush definition of VICTORY) - AQI has been devastated by the US led SURGE plan and more reports are coming in that support the Petraeus Report and refute Democrats like Hillary Clinton and the moveon.orgers claim otherwise.
But nobody should get overconfident and claim total victory YET, Al Qaeda has proven in the past that it can bounce back from setbacks such as when top leaders have been killed etc. so there is a lot to yet be done... but it is getting done.

AQI has been trying to provoke a civil war (with bombings like the Golden Mosque) while also attacking US troops in the process, however the numbers now confirm that unless Al Qaeda has a big surge of it's own planned, they can forget about Iraq.

But what about all the uprising by Muslims as a result of the US so-called "occupation"? Remember we were just creating more terrorists and were just a recruiting tool for Bin Laden by being in Iraq. The latest Pew Poll suggests otherwise.

And what about Al Qaeda's method of suicide bombing... an unlimited supply of Martyrs ?


The Muslims are convinced, now all we have to do is convince the Democrats.

Comparing Rush Limbaugh To Daily Kos?

A lefty friend commented on one of my posts below that there really isn't any difference between liberal bloggers like moveon.org, daily kos, Okie Funk, Sooner Thought...etc. copying each other and what conservative talk radio and conservative bloggers do.

He agrees that many liberal bloggers do re-post what they read on each others blogs as fact but goes on to claim that conservative bloggers merely re-post what they hear on talk radio ...as fact.
Sounds reasonable....and fair, as long as you don't actually think about it or analyze it, that is.

Here is the chain of "command" and difference in the two... liberals at moveon.org and daily kos posts a "story", the story gets picked up by other liberal bloggers and spread in CLOSED forums, liberal groups like mediamatters (founded by Hillary Clinton and other Democrats to combat talk radio) claiming to be "unbiased" take these stories and validate them, (name an example of media matters disputing daily kos or moveon.org) where they then go to the main stream media like the NY Times and are re-printed again in a CLOSED forum. The AP is another group of liberally biased "journalists" who write and post stories (some times aquired from liberal bloggers like moveon or kos) on the AP wire service to be copied and re-printed by newspapers across the land... as fact, again in a CLOSED forum.
Examples: Dan Rather, Jason Blair, David Podvin and Jamil Hussein for starters.

There is virtually zero accountability on the above chain of command reporting... (without talk radio)

Conservative talk radio (like Rush Limbaugh), take previously reported news stories and OPENLY debate, debunk, refute and sometimes even confirms them... in an OPEN forum. Anyone can call in and call BS on them if they have the goods (or even just think they do). Rush AND Sean love to let liberals come on their show and talk away... it usually proves their point.
Rush rarely uses rightwing bloggers as his source for his opinions (and qualifies it when he does), and very rarely do conservative bloggers use Rush as the source for their opinions or posts.
The mainstream media rarely (if ever) takes a story from talk radio and reports it as fact.... but the opposite is true... the mainstream media DID take a story from liberal bloggers about conservative radio -RUSH (phoney soldiers) and reported it as fact, when it was a lie.

By the time Rush or Sean discuss their opinion on a story, most conservative bloggers have already formed an opinion, posted about it on their blog and when it is discussed on talk radio... say "yup, Rush agrees with me" (or not).
Example: Today (Monday) Rush Limbaugh at 12:45 pm Central referred to a Washington Post editorial which I posted about on Saturday and Engram posted about last Friday. I'm pretty sure Rush didn't get the story from here (or Back Talk) and spread it, no ...we came to the same conclusion without ever knowing (or caring) what the other would say. So, if anything, Rush says what bloggers say (since we said it first) and not the reverse as my friend claimed.

comparing moveon.org (or daily kos) to Rush Limbaugh is like comparing Tokyo Rose to the Armed Forces Network... however it would be quite easy to draw a comparison between Tokyo Rose and moveon.org, daily kos and many in the media today.

Extremist liberals (so defined by moderate liberals) claim anyone who disagrees with them are "extreme right wingers"... (according to Okie Funk, Feinstein is a rightwinger) when in fact, by any real standard conservative talk show hosts are moderate conservatives and not extreme in any fashion.
Examples: Do you hear conservative talk radio hosts claiming that we need to force people to become Christians by law? No.
(Liberals want God and Christianity removed with laws)
Do you hear conservatives saying we need to eradicate all liberal bloggers and liberal newspapers with laws? No.
(Liberals want talk radio shut down with laws)
Do you hear calls to take out our rightwing guns and retake the country from Democrats by force? (Democrats took out their best lies to "Take Back America" by force) No.
Calls to lock-up Bill Clinton, put alGore in a nut-house, ban Hollywood from making political statements? NO, of course not... (but liberals want Bush and Cheney locked up, Rush put in a nuthouse and to ban all conservative opinion as "hate speech").

These would all be examples of rightwing "extremism"... instead conservatives tolerate and even debate over fake Documentaries, fake news stories about phoney soldiers, fake news stories by phoney journalists and phoney liberal bloggers calling a US General a traitor during a time of war (for reporting validated US successes in that war) and phoney claims that alGore won in 2000... Kerry in 04 and phoney claims that Bush is a liar on every subject. Extreme? Yup.

My friend has gotten it wrong. There is no comparison whatsoever between liberal bloggers and conservative talk radio... and in fact I would argue that they are opposites in most aspects.

A while back this same friend accused Rush of making unsubstantiated attacks on liberals in the same way moveon.org attacked Rush on the "phoney soldiers" hoax... without giving any examples of such. I asked him to provide just one example of an unsubstantiated attack by Rush on anyone...ever. I'm still waiting for that one example... which should be easy to find if what he claimed were true. In contrast, I can provide dozens of unsubstantiated attacks on Bush and conservatives by liberal bloggers.

I do understand however why most liberals and Democrats would want conservative talk radio to "go away" or simply be discredited, then they would have no one to answer to at all... wouldn't THAT be nice?
Just like in the good 'ol days when there were only 3 major networks (all liberal) and no talk radio (or internet) to dispute them.

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.

"With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers."

"Arnold Schwarzenegger has delivered young children into the hands of those who will introduce them to alternative sexual lifestyles," said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, which worked to defeat the plans. "This means children as young as five years old will be mentally molested in school classrooms.

"Shame on Schwarzenegger and the Democrat politicians for ensuring that every California school becomes a homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination center," he said. Top of Form

Analysts have warned that schools across the nation will be impacted by the decision, since textbook publishers must cater to their largest purchaser, which often is California, and they will be unlikely to go to the expense of having a separate edition for other states.

The bills signed by Schwarzenegger include SB777, which bans anything in public schools that could be interpreted as negative toward homosexuality, bisexuality and other alternative lifestyle choices.

There are no similar protections for students with traditional or conservative lifestyles and beliefs, however.

"SB 777 will result in reverse discrimination against students with religious and traditional family values," said Meredith Turney, legislative liaison for Capitol Resource Institute. "These students have lost their voice as the direct result of Gov. Schwarzenegger's unbelievable decision. The terms 'mom and dad' or 'husband and wife' could promote discrimination against homosexuals if a same-sex couple is not also featured.

"Parents want the assurance that when their children go to school they will learn the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic – not social indoctrination regarding alternative sexual lifestyles. Now that SB777 is law, schools will in fact become indoctrination centers for sexual experimentation," she said.

Also signed was AB394, which targets parents and teachers for such indoctrination through "anti-harassment" training, CCF said.

Schwarzenegger had vetoed almost identical provisions a year ago, saying existing state law already provided for penalties for discrimination.

"We had hoped that the governor would once again veto this outrageous legislation but he obviously decided to side with the out-of-touch extremists that control the legislature. This law does not reflect the true values of the average Californian," said England. "True leadership means standing up for what is true and right."

Thomasson said SB777 prohibits any "instruction" or school-sponsored "activity" that "promotes a discriminatory bias" against "gender" – the bill's definition includes cross-dressing and sex changes – as well as "sexual orientation."

"Because no textbook or instruction in California public schools currently disparages transsexuality, bisexuality, or homosexuality, the practical effect of SB777 will be to require positive portrayals of these sexual lifestyles at every government-operated school," CCF noted.

Offenders will face the wrath of the state Department of Education, up to and including lawsuits.

CCF noted that now on a banned list will be any text, reference or teaching aid that portrays marriage as only between a man and woman, materials that say people are born male or female (and not in between), sources that fail to include a variety of transsexual, bisexual and homosexual historical figures, and sex education materials that fail to offer the option of sex changes.

Further, homecoming kings now can be either male or female – as can homecoming queens, and students, whether male or female, must be allowed to use the restroom and locker room corresponding to the sex with which they choose to identify.

AB394 promotes the same issues through state-funded publications, postings, curricula and handouts to students, parents and teachers.

It also creates the circumstances where a parent who says marriage is only for a man and a woman in the presence of a lesbian teacher could be convicted of "harassment," and a student who believes people are born either male or female could be reported as a "harasser" by a male teacher who wears women's clothes, CCF said.

Thomasson said Schwarzenegger also signed AB14, which prohibits state funding for any program that does not support a range of alternative sexual practices, including state-funded social services run by churches.

Affected will be day cares, preschool or after-school programs, food and housing programs, senior services, anti-gang efforts, jobs programs and others.

Thomasson said it also forces every hospital in California – even private, religious hospitals – to adopt policies in support of transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality and opens up nonprofit organizations to lawsuits if they exclude members that engage in homosexual, bisexual, or transsexual conduct.

"It's the height of intolerance to punish individuals, organizations, businesses, and churches that have moral standards on sexual conduct and sexual lifestyles," said Thomasson, in response to the signing of AB14. "This is another insensitive law that violates people's moral boundaries."

The vitriol over the issue rose to new levels in its latest campaign.

As WND reported, a board member for the homosexual advocacy group Equality California verbally attacked and threatened CRI for its opposition to the bill earlier.

The board member sent an e-mail and video to CRI threatening the group would be buried if it continued efforts opposing the homosexual advocacy.

"The shocking hate mail we received shows that those behind this legislation do not promote true tolerance," said England. "Only politically correct speech will be tolerated. Those with religious or traditional moral beliefs will not be allowed to express their opinions in public schools."

She also cited an informational document published by the Gay-Straight Alliance Network and the Transgender Law Center that already is lobbying for special treatment in the school system.

"If you want to use a restroom that matches your gender identity … you should be allowed to do so," it advises. "Whenever students are divided up into boys and girls, you should be allowed to join the group or participate in the program that matches your gender identity as much as possible."

Further, the groups advise, "If you change your name to one that better matches your gender identity, a school needs to use that name to refer to you." The advocacy group also warns schools against bringing parents into any such discussion with students.

WND has documented a number of earlier cases in which educators, including leaders in California, have taken it upon themselves to promote a homosexual lifestyle to children under their charge.

WND reported California Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell, under whose supervision hundreds of thousands of children are being educated, has used his state position and taxpayer-funded stationery to praise a "gay" pride event used in the past to expose children to sexually explicit activities.

That drew vehement objections from several educators, including Priscilla Schreiber, the president of the Grossmont Unified High School District governing board.

"I am outraged that a person in this high-ranking elected position would advocate an event where diversity is not just being celebrated but where pornography and indecent exposure is being perpetrated on the young and innocent children of our communities," she said.

This is probably just another exercise in futility, however being the kind-hearted, caring and sharing person that I am, I will offer one more time to reach out and bring the Democrat deniers out of 1999 and their "alternate universe" into the real world before they miss out on George Bush's entire presidency as well as the upcoming US victory in Iraq!

(no, I'm not gonna post the whole thing here just click above and learn) There is even one scenario where alGore would have barely won if and the key word is if that standard was legal, but it isn't. (predicting the intent of overvotes and undervotes as actual votes in FL but not in other states)

Limbaugh Auctions Democrat Letter For Troops

Rush Limbaugh gave Democrats a lesson in creative warfare, patriotism and fund-raising all at the same time by acquiring the original letter sent to ClearChannel by Democrats demanding that he be punished for what they claim were anti-military remarks and today put that letter up for auction on ebay to raise money for his favorite military charity.

At the time of this post (less than 12 hours of auction) the highest bidder is already over $15,600.00...(updates below)

Rush had used the term "phoney soldiers" (after seeing an ABC report) to describe phoney soldiers like Jesse Macbeth who was in fact a "phoney soldier", having falsely claimed to have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and also claimed to have witnessed horrible war crimes committed by other soldiers. In reality Macbeth washed out of bootcamp after 45 days and had never served a tour anywhere or witnessed anything. However he and other phoney soldiers have been used by the news media Democrats and the left as a weapon against the war, President Bush and the military. That is fact, not up for debate.

The Phoney Democrats, acting on "bad intel" from extreme leftwing groups like mediamatters and moveon.org without checking the facts or transcript themselves of what Rush had actually said, "jumped the shark" by condemning Limbaugh (a private citizen) on the Senate floor and sending the letter to Clearchannel demanding Rush be censored ...all based on a lie in the first place.

At 1:30 Eastern time Friday October the 12th, Limbaugh fired a major shot into the hull of the Democrat boat by putting the original letter signed by leading Democrats up for auction on ebay with the proceeds going directly to the very same military that Democrats claim Rush called phoney.

Let's see, Democrats called our top General a liar and they called Rush a troop basher.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- "One signature will give pregnant illegal immigrants in Oklahoma access to state-funded health care".

The new measure is in direct conflict with (and designed to avoid) a new tougher immigration enforcement bill already passed by the legislature which is scheduled to take effect next month.

So, instead of providing incentives for employers to move their companies here, thus providing new jobs and thus encouraging new residents to move here to fill those jobs... Governor Pinwheel and Co. provide incentives for unemployed illegals to move here to get free healthcare.... no job required or available.

Socialized medicine 101... "since we provide free healthcare to Mexican citizens shouldn't we provide it to all American citizens"?

New Hope For Kennedy Following Surgery

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Veteran Democratic Senator Edward Kennedy underwent surgery Friday to unblock his carotid artery, his office said.

The blockage was picked up during a routine examination of Kennedy's back and spine, and the procedure, carried out in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston was preventative and non-invasive, a Kennedy aide said.

Kennedy, 75, will have a "very brief" recovery period before returning to work, his office said in a statement.

Carotid arteries are located in the neck and carry blood to the brain."

Doctors didn't say how long he had been suffering from the occlusion, but we all wish Senator Kennedy a very speedy full recovery and hopefully improved blood flow to the brain.

If you count "spoilage" votes in FL based on precinct registration, then you must do so across all 50 states (equal access) and when you do THAT, you get a result that matches more closely with the ACTUAL results from 2000 or even more in favor of BUSH since more precincts went red than blue across the US... UNLESS you are claiming that African American Democrat voters "spoil" significantly more ballots than so-called White Republican or other voters do which is not the case, but does sound racist to me. Gov't. Healthcare, Try It Before You Buy It

We don't have to point to all the horrible failures of socialized healthcare in other countries when we actually have the perfect example of government provided healthcare right here.

Titled The Shame of a Nation, an MD gives us a sobering look at what Hillarycare would look like as she describes the current state of the (government operated) Native American healthcare system and her analysis is ... of course to increase funding (taxes) on a broken system.

I think, based on some of his posts, that my friend The Local Malcontent would agree with me that given the choice, private healthcare (hospitals) are much better, faster and more efficient to put it nicely.

The VA hospitals in many cases are not at the standard of surrounding private facilities.
Even going to a big city run hospital like the old Denver General (referred to as the Denver Gun Club) is no vacation at club med.
I suggest everyone who is in favor of nationalized socialized "free" healthcare go visit their local city or county operated healthcare provider and try it out. Then imagine EVERY hospital is like that or worse! Then imagine long lines to get in those hospitals. Then imagine all the best Doc's going somewhere else where the pay is better. - i.e. Hillarycare.
I suggest that before Democrats tear apart the National Healthcare, they need to explain why they can't fix the healthcare systems they already own and explain why government operated hospitals are in the shape they are in in the first place. The only healthcare system in America that is broken are the one(s) already operated by the government!

Ronald Reagan had it right, we've got plenty of examples of the government and how they do with providing lousy underfunded-overtaxed services to know better than turn arguably the worlds BEST healthcare system into just another failed government program.

Question For Democrats, Is It Worth It?

Set aside (for a moment) all of the "war for oil" claims (I'll address it below**) and No WMD (again below***) please answer this question I have for the anti-war socialists, populists, liberals and other assorted Democrats.

How can you oppose "reaching out in the only way possible" to hopeless people living under brutally oppressive religious fanatics the likes of which are now a threat to the entire world?

Why are you so determined to condemn the effort to bring a different way of life to Iraq and the middle east?
Why are you against the war to bring this about... (I know why*) or more specifically HOW can you be against bringing a chance for a better life to a hopeless part of the world?

Is war considered "reaching out in the only way possible"?
Yes, considering we were attacked in what the attackers themselves describe as global war on America and our allies (Jihad). Yes, considering removing Saddam by other means had failed and considering Islamic Jihadists moving in to claim Iraq for their own, declaring their own war on the civilian population in Iraq... yes, they reached out to us on 9/11 (and before) and we are reaching out appropriately now.
It's a little late for candy and flowers in this "courtship".

Democracy by gunpoint?
If you use this lame excuse for opposing the war in Iraq, then you don't understand American history don't understand what happened in Japan and Germany following WWII and don't understand the mentality of the Jihadists ...while failing to address the question by debating the method.

Maybe the Iraqis end up not choosing democracy and instead decide to vote themselves annexed into Iran... or maybe they actually do choose to run their own lives and government... HOW can YOU be against giving them at least the choice to decide?

If the US abandons the Iraqi people now (as you are demanding) they will certainly be once again be slaughtered and ruled by brutally oppressive (not just panties on the head and waterboarding) murdering fascist dictators for another generation... why (no, ...we know why*) HOW can you support this?

*WHY? My belief is that it is simply from Bush hatred. In my opinion you are willing (eager) to condemn these people to a lifetime of oppression, hatred and poverty because you hate one man so much.

So my real question I guess is...
"Is it worth it"?

Are all the lies, deception and hatred worth it?
Does the end justify the means?
To oppose giving people a chance, to oppose stopping a global Jihad designed to use that oil to destroy western civilization, to oppose this noble mission of our military, and ...to oppose the success of your own country in a war... all just to prove Bush wrong.

Is it worth all this just to get socialist control of the white house, Supreme court appointments and taxes?

Because I can guarantee you that when America went to war to end slavery, nazism and genocide in the past... it was damn sure worth it, just like it is worth it now to fight the jihadists and YOU to the very end. And to do it without lying about it, lying about you or pretending we're something that we are not.

**War for oil... if you want to make oil a reason for being in Iraq, simple. The world (nor the US) cannot and must not let Islamic fascists control the middle east, the worlds largest oil supplies or the resources that oil provides. The result would be globally catastrophic and global warming would be the least of your worries... but that wasn't the question.

***WMD... was one of over a dozen official reasons given by the President, and yes, no large stockpiles were discovered in spite of every intelligence agency in the world agreeing that Saddam did have and was seeking to get nuclear weapons and the world had seen Saddam use chemical weapons, so claims of Bush lying are not supported by facts. Bush and apparently even Saddam's Generals thought they had WMD.
This claim of not justifying war does nothing to address the question I am putting to you, and as I posted earlier, YOU would have claimed all WMD's were planted by... Bush, so it doesn't matter that WMD's were not found.

To those that claim they are against all war no matter the cause... I say thank God you live in a country where everyone doesn't and never have felt that way, or else you wouldn't be living in this country... this would be more likely Germany, Japan or Russia....(based on history) but not America as we have ever known it.

To others, with apologies for my first four letter word on this blog.

More Predictions From The Ol' Crystal Ball

Let's say for the sake of this discussion that we learned Osama Bin Laden is confirmed dead... natural causes of course (or otherwise as you prefer).

Can you predict what the Democrat party "leaders" would be saying within 5 minutes?
Sure you can, you're a smart cookie (and they are a broken record).

Here are your choices:
1- "A key element in the war on terror is dead, good news for the free world".(no but's)
2- "A serious blow has been delivered to Islamic fascism and terrorists".(no but's)
3- "It's about time, now let's defeat them in Iraq and around the world". (no but's)
4- "Bin Laden is dead but... is now a Martyr (because of Bush), so the war is over- (we lost), bring home the troops- "mission accomplished"... (and of course impeach Bush)".

If you picked 1,2 or 3...you either misunderstood the question (what would DEMOCRATS say) or you live in la-la land and don't follow politics.
If you picked #4 you are smarter than a 1st grader (i.e. Democrat).

Just warning ya', ...don't want you to get caught off guard when it happens...and it will.

BAGHDAD – After more than 20 months of violent insurgent activity, September marked the first month that there were no murders within the western Ameriya neighborhood of the Iraqi capital.

“Murder has been an effective insurgent tactic in Ameriya and groups like al-Qaeda have capitalized on it as a method to terrorize the local populace,” said 2nd Lt. Evan Howell, a staff officer with 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, who, together with Iraqi Security Forces, provides security for the area.

“Earlier this year we were recording almost two a day and since late 2005 murder events were as commonplace as buying groceries in Ameriya.”

BAGHDAD-10/06/07 The surge of additional U.S. forces into Iraq continues to improve circumstances for the Iraqi government, a Joint Staff spokesman said.

The trends in Iraq are encouraging, said Army Maj. Gen. Richard Sherlock, a Joint Staff spokesman. Overall violence in the country is down to level it was at before the Golden Mosque bombing in Samarra in February 2006.

Al Qaeda in Iraq fanned sectarian fires in Iraq with the dramatic attack. But now, car bombs, improvised–explosive-device attacks, civilian deaths, and attacks against Coalition and Iraqi Security Forces are all down.

“Iraqi Security Forces and Coalition forces have been able to respond effectively to the violence during this Ramadan season, and al Qaeda and other extremist groups are losing support due to their indiscriminate targeting of civilians,” Sherlock said.

Much remains to be done, however. Civilian deaths are still too high, and the Iraqi government must continue to improve basic services to all its citizens, he said.

The number of American servicemembers in Iraq has started to drop, with 2,200 Marines from 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit redeploying from Anbar province and not being replaced. If the security situation holds and improves, all five surge brigades will be out of Iraq by summer 2008, the general said.

Still, the situation in Iraq remains difficult. “We have many insurgent groups in Iraq: it’s not a simple Sunni or Shiia or other group insurgency,” he said. “There are also a lot of criminal activities that go on in Iraq; there are a variety of foreign fighters in Iraq.”

While the media-matters media and Democrats cling to defeat, the surge keeps surging, Al Qaeda keeps losing and retreating while Iraq marches toward democracy and freedom.

Oklahoma's Horrible Tax on Groceries

This one has been a thorn in my side since returning to Oklahoma 4 years ago after living for over 25 years in Colorado. Having not paid taxes on groceries for 25 years, you can imagine my shock the first time at the grocery store in Oklahoma. I just shook my head and thought... one of the poorest states and weakest economies, and they tax groceries- brilliant. Who's been in control of the government here? Democrats... yet surprisingly Senator Jay Paul Gumm of Durant (D) Durant feels the same way I did that day in the supermarket about it. Unlike Senator Gumm however I support other tax decreases for the same reason.
Be that as it may,Oklahoma needs to stop taxing groceries, immediately if not "sooner", and like virtually every tax decrease, ...average-everyday people will spend more and get more groceries, which will increase sales for stores and increase taxes to the city and state.

The Republican legislature needs to get behind this idea and run with it... not instead of other tax reductions, in addition to other tax reductions... but moved to the "express lane".

Street Racing is NOT drag racing

Seeing a story today about another street racing accident causing the death of a 5 year old and the conversation about it on several talk radio programs makes me angry, sick and wondering. A caller on the Laura Ingraham show claimed to be a street racer who attempted to defend the indefensible and another caller was wondering "why someone doesn't build places for these kids to take their cars and race"?

Here is some education for both.
There are nearly 300 total combined NHRA and IHRA and independent drag strips across the US with probably more than one within a reasonable drive from wherever you live.
Each and every track has programs several nights per week and weekends designed exactly for this purpose. The cost to race your family car... or van, or pickup or souped-up hotrod is usually around $20 for the entire day. You don't need any special equipment or license (other than a state drivers license) and you will never have more fun in (the front seat of) your car, I promise.

Here in Oklahoma Thunder Valley Raceway near Noble some of their biggest crowds and car count is on the first Friday of the month when the street machines are the main attraction. They also have weekly teen and Highschool events as well as a strong Jr dragster program for kids 8-17. Tulsa Raceway Park also has teen, highschool and run what you brung events on a weekly basis. There are not only places for street racers to race, there is no excuse for not racing at those places.
This weekend Oct 12-14 is Thunder Valley's biggest event of the year- the NHRA Division IV Points series, featuring NHRA sportsman category racers from several neighboring states including Texas from Top Alcohol Dragster to Pure Stock, motorcycle and ET eliminator classes. I encourage everyone in the area to go on Saturday or Sunday. Parking is FREE and so is the car show called the pit area where you can go and talk to the racers and see those beautiful machines up close and personal.

I posted below about a great American and Oklahoman Wally Parks, who dedicated his entire life to providing that very place where young and old men and women of all races can bring their car and (if it is deemed safe) race it. It spread all across the country and is the ultimate family sport. When idiots race on the street it degrades the legitimate, responsible, REAL racers and motorsports in general. Street machines are wonderful things to drive and own but there is a responsibility to drive respectfully on the street and represent yourself well.

If you are a parent who's teen is street racing, get involved... take them, go to the track with them and cheer for them and get them OFF OF THE STREETS. Teach them the right way to race and prevent them from the wrong way. You'll be glad you did and will have more fun than you ever imagined in the process.
I will do a future post on what to expect the first time you ever race a car at the track and just how simple and fun and truly rewarding it can be if you know a few things in advance.

Example of High School Events.
If you are a street racer (yes they are everywhere), grow-up, grow a pair and come to the track like real racers and get OFF OF the street. Be a leader, not dead or in jail. The 50 year old wannabe teenager police are looking for in this latest incident has probably never been to the racetrack or has been banned from the racetrack (or should be).

The primary thing I dislike about the TV show "Pinks" is that while it is based on the old "I'll race you title for title" premise... it doesn't teach viewers about drag racing. Pinks teaches you how to street race (and they film it at a drag strip). They don't use the starting line "tree", the timing equipment or the finish line win/lose capability. Instead they use a flagman and a spotter at the finish line... ala street racing. I for one would like to see Pinks go bye-bye and replaced by tv shows about real grassroots ET or "bracket racing" as it is called in the sport.

Street Racing is not racing, it is illegal, irresponsible and deadly. There is no excuse for racing on the street with a track, safety personnel and insurance waiting nearby for only $20 or so.

Predicting Next Democrat Lie

Here it comes... I can smell the next big brown greasy pile a mile away.
But predicting Democrat lunacy is not easy folks... I mean trying to predict what next giant whopper the same people that falsely claimed Bush stole the election(s), falsely claimed Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks, falsely claimed Bush lied about WMD, falsely claimed our military were murderers on phoney evidence, Claimed Bush caused hurricane Katrina and/or bombed the levies, falsely claimed O'Reilly is a racist, falsely claimed Rush insulted the military... wow... trying to predict what their next giant steaming pile of stinky smear will be is no easy challenge considering their is no limit to their lies.

But I am up to the task. I know these people and how they think. They have recently trial tested a few stinkers like "Bush's plans to attack IRAN before end of the year" and even better "Bush plans Martial Law to cancel 08 election and create permanent dictatorship" without any luck on either smear... and therefore...
Sean Hannity is my prediction for who is next in line to be smeared (and hopefully gain popularity from it). I considered it might be Ann Coulter (since she has a NEW BEST SELLER on the bookshelves) or Condi Rice, and of course they have a few lies still on the shelf waiting for Bush, but I'm sticking with Hannity as the next big target. I think it's too early for them to waste big juicy tasty whoppers on the Republican candidates at this point. Let them fight amongst themselves for now and destroy the winner later.

Consider how badly the left want's to shut down conservative talk radio, consider what they have done in the past 2 weeks to both O'Reilly and Limbaugh and consider that Hannity has NOT yet been smeared. Simple logic, process of elimination, a wild imagination (and a crystal ball) is all it takes.
Consider also how much traction the Rush lie has gotten in the media-matters-media and the motivation to pile-on is tremendous, and also irresistible to hydrophobic rabid Democrats.

How will they do it?
Since Hannity is the "all American golden boy", is considered "good looking" or at least cute by many women and speaks strongly on marriage, religion, honesty and trust... look for a skanky skank to crawl out from under a Democrat rock with some story about something Sean said or wanted to do etc. and that she was offended and accuses him of sexual harassment or worse. (ala Duke Lacrosse) Perhaps they will try and tie Sean in with some shady business operation or gambling, drinking... or drugs... even legal ones... anything will do.

That is providing they aren't able to come up with a word or phrase that they can take out of context in the mean time to destroy him with first.
They will try to ruin his marriage, career and life in one smooth, slimy, disgusting motion and they will do it before the end of this calender year.
If possible they will try and use this "mother of all lies" against Hannity to present as the final straw for banning conservative talk radio altogether.

If you think I'm wrong, hide and watch, these people will do anything, stop at nothing and time is running out for them. Oh yes, it's coming alright, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and I'm pretty sure it's a train.

You see their stories are already "rough-draft" written (see template below) and on the shelf just waiting (like the WMD lie) for one slip of the lip or misspoken word that can be used out of context as evidence to bring the tale to life. The moonbats glean respectable publications like you see in the checkout line at the grocery store... or online "journalists" in the UK or from other moonbat bloggers, pick up a few headlines and post about it supported with cherrypicked out of context "facts" gathered on the world wide web. (Like "Phoney Soldiers" for example)
Once written, it gets posted on scumsites like the daily kos, democrat underground, airamerica, locally dochoc posts it personally on several sites like Blue Oklahoma, etc... then it gets picked up by the likes of mediamatters, moveon.org.... delivered to the likes of at MSNBC Keith Olberman and on to the NY Times and your local news as fact. Clone bloggers like Sooner not think, Stomped by a Kitten etc. simply re-post the same stories and all talk about how smart the DailyKos and Moveon.org and Mediamatters and Keith Olberman are.

So in the big "Next Democrat Lie" office-pool at work, take Sean Hannity and try to pick a date just before the Christmas holidays or sooner and rake in the extra Christmas cash.

Merl Haggard, Proud to be... Insane Okie in a Funk?

It's funny how lib's like Sooner Thought will take words of anybody no matter how totally insane, as long as they hate George Bush and or Republicans... they are considered geniuses. Like Okie Funk or take former "proud to be an Okie", Merl Haggard who's in a funk.

Among the great words of wisdom lately to come from the mouth of Haggard is such self contradicting logic as (paraphrasing now) "No, (I'm not a poet), but I do write a lot of things without melodies (that rhyme) and (I guess) that makes me a poet" and "We live in a police state, the last 10 years America has changed, now you must watch what you say or someone is liable to drop down a rope from a black helicopter and kill me... I have family".

Or... "radio stations aren't interested in opinion, that's the first thing that goes in the trash". Merl's radio must not get AM where advertisers are lined up to sponsor.... opinion.

Mr. Haggard also seems awfully paranoid about someone finding pot plants in his backyard for some reason... better check out his stash of twinkies and dingdongs to see if we need to bring the dogs in.

But best of all, Merl admits that nobody's really interested in voting for Hillary except for the chance to get Bill back in the white-house where he can restore diplomacy in the world (and apparently interns under the desk). It's more about Bill Clinton, not Hillary according to Merl that is... he may actually be on to something with this one... even a broken clock is right 2x a day!

The decision by the government to distribute Al Gore's film An Inconvenient Truth has been the subject of a legal action by New Party member Stewart Dimmock. Although a full ruling has yet to be given, the Court found that the film was misleading in 11 respects and that the Guidance Notes drafted by the Education Secretary’s advisors served only to exacerbate the political propaganda in the film.

In order for the film to be shown, the Government must first amend their Guidance Notes to Teachers to make clear that 1.) The Film is a political work and promotes only one side of the argument. 2.) If teachers present the Film without making this plain they may be in breach of section 406 of the Education Act 1996 and guilty of political indoctrination. 3.) Eleven inaccuracies have to be specifically drawn to the attention of school children.

The inaccuracies are:

• The film claims that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro evidence global warming. The Government’s expert was forced to concede that this is not correct.
• The film suggests that evidence from ice cores proves that rising CO2 causes temperature increases over 650,000 years. The Court found that the film was misleading: over that period the rises in CO2 lagged behind the temperature rises by 800-2000 years.
• The film uses emotive images of Hurricane Katrina and suggests that this has been caused by global warming. The Government’s expert had to accept that it was “not possible” to attribute one-off events to global warming.
• The film shows the drying up of Lake Chad and claims that this was caused by global warming. The Government’s expert had to accept that this was not the case.
• The film claims that a study showed that polar bears had drowned due to disappearing arctic ice. It turned out that Mr Gore had misread the study: in fact four polar bears drowned and this was because of a particularly violent storm.
• The film threatens that global warming could stop the Gulf Stream throwing Europe into an ice age: the Claimant’s evidence was that this was a scientific impossibility.
• The film blames global warming for species losses including coral reef bleaching. The Government could not find any evidence to support this claim.
• The film suggests that the Greenland ice covering could melt causing sea levels to rise dangerously. The evidence is that Greenland will not melt for millennia.
• The film suggests that the Antarctic ice covering is melting, the evidence was that it is in fact increasing.
• The film suggests that sea levels could rise by 7m causing the displacement of millions of people. In fact the evidence is that sea levels are expected to rise by about 40cm over the next hundred years and that there is no such threat of massive migration.
• The film claims that rising sea levels has caused the evacuation of certain Pacific islands to New Zealand. The Government are unable to substantiate this and the Court observed that this appears to be a false claim.

Now this could all be solved if the children were able to watch The Great Global Warming Swindle instead of Gore's piece of propaganda, but hey....it's better then nothing. How much you wanna bet the MSM ignores this story?

But It's For The Children

I propose a new plan to fund every government program Democrats can possibly think of (and thats a lot), abolish all existing taxes and STILL have money left over to give big tax rebates!

Unlike plans that call for funding to come from sales of products that the same people have outlawed and now taxed out of near existence...(underfunded), MY PLAN (below) is guaranteed to never ever decrease and recent years would have provided unimaginable revenue to the state and federal government.

I propose that we tax lies.
Not when someone is just wrong mind you, but when they intentionally lie. Particularly politicians and pundits but we should all share the burden appropriately.
Based of course on the size of the whopper and number of people that believe it, damage to the country or individual lie was used against. And yes it can be applied to both sides providing you can prove it's a lie...(you cannot PROVE Bush lied on WMD when everyone else said the same thing and believed it at the time, but if you lie and say someone else was lying... double $. Bill Clinton (and Hillary) would still be making payments on statements (I don't need to point them out do I?) made during his presidency.

Here are some examples of how my plan might work...
If you lie and call in sick to work... that's maybe $200. If they call you a liar and you happen to really be sick this time... that costs them double or $400. (lie to now get new job not included)
If you lie and call your spouse while cheating... maybe $2,000. (lies during divorce not included)
If you lie about your "wide stance" in the mensroom of an airport...(including above lie) $10,000 (Subsequent lies not included)
Lie about killing a fully developed unborn infant for personal convenience or political gain as merely a woman's "choice" and her body is the only consideration ...$500,000 and this tax would fund free abortions for all. (calling yourself "planned parenthood" while offering abortion as the solution neither helps people plan to be parents nor promotes parenthood multipledouble lie) $10-million.
If you lie and call the President a liar on WMD's, ... $50,000xdouble lie=$100,000 (plus bonus if you earlier said the exact same thing but don't consider yourself a liar double again)x2= $100,000. If US reputation abroad is damaged, - $100million, and at time of war x2= $200million.

If you lie about a US General during a time of war for political gain... $100million (in cash) plus possible treason charges. If you accused a US General of lying while testifying before congress during a time of war... and he wasn't, that'll be $500million and immediate resignation before treason hearings commence against you.

Or if you lie and say that a tax "for the children" isn't really a tax but is funded by overtaxing a product that is already being outlawed... or some such other trick/lie... Use the following formula and divide the amount of the total cost of the program by the number of people who used the above lie to sell it. Okie Funk, Blue Oklahoma and the other mediamatters/dailydose/moveon.org CLONES could pay for free healthcare (and free everything else) here in Oklahoma with the source of revenue they would provide alone.

Under my plan, each individual has control over his/her taxes... if you want lower taxes (republicans) simply tell fewer lies and if you want to pay more taxes (Democrats) simply tell more lies (if that is possible).
How do we enforce it? Voluntary with high incentives.
Whenever someone calls "BS" on you, all you have to do is whip out your receipt and tell them to back off. They don't have to believe you, but at least understand you paid the price to say it and might respect you for that alone.

Any new government program you would like to fund, just use the taxes on the lies to sell that program as the source for the revenue.-yes?

SO VOTE YES on taxtheliars 'cause after all, "it's for the kids."

Motorsports and racing fans lost a pioneer, legend and great man who is credited with founding the sport of hot rodding, but specifically NHRA Drag Racing and the famous Speed Week World Land Speed Record events at Bonneville Speedway as well as opening the door for most other current motorsports in America.

The most prestigious and sought after trophy in drag racing has been and will always be known as simply a... "Wally".

Most car enthusiasts know very well who Wally Parks was, but did you know he was an Okie?

NHRA Founder Wally Parks Dead at 94

Wally Parks, the driving force behind the National Hot Rod Association, died Sept. 28 at the age of 94.

"An institution is the lengthened shadow of one man," wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson in a collection of essays 166 years ago. He could have been talking about the NHRA. Emerson's quote was stitched on a quilt presented to Parks by Louise McClelland, wife of longtime NHRA announcer Dave McClelland, at Park’s 90th birthday party four years ago. Parks' shadow stretched much taller than his six-foot four-inch frame across drag racing, lakes racing, automotive publishing and the aftermarket speed parts industry.

Parks was born in Goltry, Oklahoma in 1913 and took pride in his humble roots, always referring to himself as an “Okie.” He was eight years old when his family moved west, and he remained in Southern California for the rest of his life. While the rest of the world progressed to e-mail, Parks stayed with faxes, which he called, "Okie e-mail." Parks helped to found the Southern California Timing Association in 1937 to organize dry lakes racing. Then, like most of the racers, he went into the military during WWII. He served in the Philippines where he was said to have “the fastest Jeep in the Pacific.” It was during the war that Parks first heard the term “hot rod.” Parks returned home in 1946 and was, naturally, elected president of the SCTA.

Parks, along with future publishing magnate Pete Petersen and fellow rodder Lee Ryan (who looked the oldest among them, they decided, and therefore the most respectable) made the first pilgrimage to Utah to convince the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce to let the Southern California kids run on the Bonneville Salt Flats. They took Petersen’s car because they didn’t think Ryan’s or Parks’ cars would make it. They made it, and racers have journeyed to Bonneville ever since.

In 1948 Parks and Petersen organized a speed parts show in the Los Angeles Armory that would go on to fame, many years later, as the SEMA show held now in Las Vegas.

That same year Parks became editor of a magazine Petersen started called Hot Rod.

In 1951, Parks, Ak Miller and Marvin Lee signed the incorporation papers that founded the National Hot Rod Association. Naturally, Parks was its president.

The NHRA's original goals were very close to today's: Adopt and maintain the strictest safety standards in motorsports, establish rules governing the sport and educate the public about drag racing; nobody had ever done anything like it before. At the time it was very much necessary.

Drag racing before the NHRA wasn't too far from what you see in B movies late at night with titles like "Drag Strip Demons."

With the exception of dry lakes racers at Southern California Timing Association events, the kids who raced on America's back roads and empty city streets usually had more enthusiasm than good judgment, drove questionably constructed cars, and there was generally not a roll bar in sight.

It wasn't that racing itself had to be dangerous, just that no one had come along to make it safe or organized. The NHRA took what had existed illegally across the country and molded it into something safe and presentable without removing any of the elements that made it fun. The task was equal parts public relations and organization. It took off.

"Nobody had any illusion it would become as big as it has,” Parks said.

It is now the world's most participated-in motorsport, and it was the strength of Parks' character more than anything else that shaped the sport and the organization. That character showed through in subtle ways, as Parks guided and mentored the NHRA with a nudge here, an offer of help there. His constant and humble support of the people he brought in is what made the NHRA such a success. Parks recruited smart, dedicated men and women and gave them the backing they needed to grow the sport. "We were fortunate, we picked people who were actively interested in the sport, and whose wives were actively interested in it," Parks said when NHRA celebrated its 50th anniversary six years ago. "In many cases, the wife was the better part of the bargain," he added jokingly. His enthusiasm and integrity spread.

"Because of what Wally started, [drag racing] grew and came to Texas," said West Texas-born, NHRA legend Kenny Bernstein at Parks’ 90th birthday party.

"Because of Wally's vision, I was able to make it my life." "Wally's made it possible for a lot of us to make a living in a field that we love," said Carroll Shelby on the same night. Whenever Parks was honored, and it happened a lot throughout his life, he typically took no credit. At his 94th birthday last March, held at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, the always humble Parks said, "There's been an awful lot of praise of Wally Parks today, and I'd like you to think of where we'd all be if it was just Wally Parks. There's an awful lot of people doing an awful lot of work."

Which reminded us of another line Emerson wrote, as if thinking ahead nearly two centuries: "If the single man plant himself indomitably on his instincts, and there abide, the huge world will come round to him."

While at the NHRA, Parks (along with men like Bill Simpson and other drag racers), developed the safety standards that are used in all other forms of motorsport to this day by creating SEMA and later SFI ratings and requirements for racing equipment. So, if you are a NASCAR driver, INDYCAR driver, ARCA Series, Local circle track racer or drag racer... whatever, you can thank Wally Parks and his vision for that little SFI tag that is on every single piece of safety equipment and on every single race-car you own and thus to some degree, this combined with the tremendous standard set by the NHRA's Safety Safari in ultimate track prep and driver safety team for well over 50years, we can all thank Wally Parks for the tremendous safety requirements of (insert your favorite motorsport here).

On a personal note: I know several racers who have raced their entire lives and never won a "Wally" (only awarded for NHRA Division Champions, National event wins and World Champion) my son was fortunate enough to win his first during his rookie season and it will always be the most special to us. "...There has been a lot of interest in Tennessee regarding the reauthorization of the State Children's Health Insurance Plan (SCHIP) which appeared before Congress last week and was vetoed by President Bush yesterday. I'd like to highlight some of the critical shortcomings that prompted the entire Tennessee House Republican delegation, a strong majority of our GOP colleagues, and several Democrat members to oppose its passage.

First, we share the common goal of expanding access to quality healthcare to all Americans, especially disadvantaged children. But this bill will not advance those efforts. According to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, by expanding the definition of "poor" to include those making $82,000 per year or more, will enroll an additional 1.2 million people by 2012. Of those 1.2 million, CBO estimates that 600,000 of them have private health insurance coverage today. This bill would provide strong incentive for individuals and employers to dump private coverage and shift these costs to the taxpayers -- at an estimated cost of $74,000 per person annually. Here in Tennessee we watched a similar stampede to state-run coverage cripple the TennCare system. Another troubling component of the bill is the removal of the proof-of-citizenship requirements for enrollment. This provision, found in Section 211 (H.R. 976), is commonly referenced as the concerted effort to allow taxpayer subsidized healthcare to illegal immigrants.

The SCHIP bill also employs questionable budgeting pratices. It dramatically increases Federal funding to enroll new children in SCHIP for the next 5 years -- funding which is partially offset by a tax increase. Then in 2012 the bill abruptly cuts total SCHIP funding by 80 percent – to a level substantially lower than what we're paying now with far fewer people enrolled. The effect is that unless Congress intervenes, millions of children will then lose coverage. CBO estimates that by 2017, the program will have a $40 billion hole in it.

Yes, there are even more problems with the passage of this socialized medicine for illegals bill.. but the above alone is reason to understand that Democrats have no clue, are promoting socialized medicine and are for open borders... and their only defense for the indefensible is to "SMEAR" Bush (as usual).

The hight of this idiocy is that proponents claim it's not a tax increase but plan to fund the program from the sales of a product they are at the same time OUTLAWING. Charge too much tax on tobacco and tobacco sales go down... make it illegal to smoke and sales go down, so where will this socialized medicine funding come from? YOU in the form of a tax increase as soon as the budget isn't met (first year). It's a lie people.

Of course the Soros/Clinton News Service (main stream media) is portraying this as "Bush hates sick children".... pathetic liars.

Here in Oklahoma, all of the mediamatters/moveon.org clone blogs like Okie Funk, Oklahoma Blue, Sooner Thought, Kittenstomper and the rest are URGING... excuse me DEMANDING that Oklahoman's tell Inhofe to not hate Oklahoma children.

The Goldwater-Reagan Victory

October 27, 1964.

The polls were dismal. And they were accurate. Just over 38% of the American people were getting ready to vote for the first modern conservative to be nominated for president, Arizona's Senator Barry Goldwater. Nonetheless, a fledgling conservative, actor Ronald Reagan, boldly committed to do a television commercial supporting Goldwater. The commercial was a version of a speech he had begun delivering around the country as he toured General Electric plants in his role as GE spokesman. The name of the talk was "A Time for Choosing," and it aired the evening of October 27th, forty-three years ago this month. Eventually, the speech made Reagan president.

But why? And what does this have to do with Rush Limbaugh?

To say that Barry Goldwater and the conservative cause got 38% of the vote is another way of saying that Lyndon B. Johnson got 61% of the vote for the liberal cause. He campaigned explicitly on expanding the New Deal, the vast extension of government that was the brainchild of his political hero and role model, Franklin D. Roosevelt. LBJ crisscrossed America that fall of 1964 promising Americans a "Great Society" in which the government would declare war on poverty, spend billions on health care and education and housing and more, more, more. All of this combined with a promise not to send American boys to fight in Asia.

As the 2008 campaign gets under way, it is critical for Americans -- and especially for conservatives -- to understand what this campaign is -- and is not -- about.

It is not about Hillary Clinton. Yes, she has a terrible record as spouse of the president in the use-by-proxy of executive power. Yes, she is the only candidate in the race for whom a prosecutor once drew up a draft indictment. But it is the sheerest of follies to think that the decision in 2008 is about her (or for that matter, any other Democrat who may, however improbably, defeat her in the race for the Democratic nomination).

Nor is the 2008 election about Rudy, Fred, Mitt, John or the rest. Yes they individually have flaw A, B, or C. No, none of them are Ronald Reagan. But none of this is the real concern of 2008.

What the 2008 campaign is really about is the next phase in what has become an almost century old argument on the role of government in American life. And conservatism, from the moment Ronald Reagan's image faded from the television screen that crisp October night, has been winning the argument. Contrary to appearances in 1964, it won then and it continues to win today. Why?

Elections, and 2008 will be no exception in terms of the way the dinosaur Old Media tries to present it to the American people, are not about personalities. On the surface? Sure. There will be much talk about the woman candidate just as there was about the glamorous candidate (JFK) or the extreme candidate (Goldwater) or the smiling candidate (Ike), the plain spoken candidate (Truman) and so on. It has ever been thus.

But all of this fluff masks the very central fact that the idea of more government running things in American life has been tried -- and found to be an abysmal failure. FDR and LBJ won the day in their elections -- but the downside was exactly just that. They did "win." Their ideas were tried. In the short run, the American people liked what they saw. But inevitably, life never being static, as a result an entirely unanticipated reality began to come into view of what happens when government runs things in the fashion envisioned by FDR, LBJ, and now Hillary Clinton. Slowly, with that 38% of the American people in 1964 getting it first, the country began to understand what actually happens when liberalism "wins."


HERE'S A SHORT LIST (a very short list!) of government programs inspired by the liberalism that so animated FDR's New Deal and LBJ's Great Society, and their status today.

* Social Security -- Reagan horrified liberals on the night he gave that televised speech for Goldwater by pointing out that Social Security, as run by the government, was "$298 billion in the hole." The 2007 Social Security Trustees Report says the program, is, to use Reagan's term, now "in the hole" in net present value terms for $6.8 trillion dollars more in benefits than it will receive in taxes. Projection? Massive annual deficits will begin running in just ten years.

* Medicare -- The 2007 report from the Trustees of this program states that there is a "Medicare funding warning," attached to this LBJ signature program and that "fund assets are projected to be exhausted" in a mere twelve years. Fraud is so extensive in the program that Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt recently asked Congress for $1.3 billion….that's billion…just to try and keep pace with the amount of corruption in the program.

* Medicaid -- Estimates of fraud and waste in this program, according to the Heritage Foundation, run between $15-$25 billion annually.

* Education -- The Detroit public school system, as pungently noted by Newt Gingrich, is a prime example of the problems that result from the bureaucratic mind-set so favored by liberalism. Run solely by liberals using every last tool of the liberal philosophical playbook, the Detroit system, as reported by the Gates Foundation, manages to graduate only one-fourth of its freshmen on time, with Education Week magazine saying the system manages to graduate 22% of its students. Some version of this problem has crippled big city school systems around the country, all of them using the liberal big-government, big-bureaucracy model. Here in my own state of Pennsylvania the Philadelphia school system was in such dire straits in 2001 (a deficit of $200 million) it prompted a takeover by the state.

* Housing -- In 1949, as part of Truman's Fair Deal, the federal government launched urban renewal as a policy of the federal government. It proved to be a disaster, dislocating tens of thousands of small businesses and destroying neighborhoods. Public housing projects became nothing more than human dumping grounds crawling with, as one report had it, "drug-dealing predators." Notorious projects like Pruitt-Igoe in St. Louis, the Robert Taylor Homes in Chicago, the New Brunswick Homes and the Christopher Columbus Homes in New Jersey, and the Ellen Wilson project in the District of Columbia were so bad they finally had to be destroyed. As a young aide to then-HUD Secretary Jack Kemp, I toured the Wilson project, stunned at what my colleagues and I saw. It was, not to put too fine a point on it, outrageous. And just to show the problem was philosophical and not simply of American origin, then-British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher faced the same problem with "council flats" -- and persuaded Parliament to finally sell them.

There are, needless to say, many, many examples beyond these. One of those examples is the City of New Orleans. With all the on-the-button criticism of big government failure during Katrina (why were all those poor people left behind, went the rant) the critics politely skipped over the obvious: what in God's name were all those poor people doing there living as they did before Katrina even got up steam? They were there, and had been so for decades, mired in a cesspool of bad education, crime and housing -- because, drum roll, the liberal philosophy was running the show from start to finish.


THIS IS THE VERY HEART of the debate to come in 2008. Liberals know it, conservatives know it -- and most prominently, Rush knows it.

Hillary Clinton, who in essence abandoned her "Goldwater Girl" roots for the arguments of LBJ has made herself a spokeswoman for a philosophy that hit its high water mark in November of 1964 with Goldwater's "defeat."
Forty-three years later -- five entire decades! -- her answers to every major issue is the same as LBJ's were when Ronald Reagan spoke to the nation for the very first time that October night. Tax, tax more and let the government do it. Clinton on the energy crisis? Take the profits from private sector oil companies and give them to the government. Clinton on health care? Take the one section of the health care economy that works and re-make it in the image of Medicare and Medicaid. No word on how much she believes her program should set aside for the inevitable epidemic of fraud and corruption that will accompany her health care program. Clinton on the capital gains tax? Raise it. The personal income tax? Raise it.

On November 3, 1964, Barry Goldwater (R) was buried at the polls. Lyndon Johnson (D) and the idea of liberalism reigned supreme. The victory had been endorsed by the New York Times, cheered on by the three existing major television networks, and the Congress was embarrassingly lopsided in LBJ's favor. The entire liberal establishment of the day dismissed Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan as bit players fighting against the inevitably of an age of governmental enlightenment with, of course, liberal elites in charge.

And they got it wrong.

Patiently, brick-by-brick with the help of a growing conservative army, under relentless political and personal attack, the two men went on to lead a stunningly successful movement of ideas. These ideas did not simply produce election victories. They were part of a massively successful intellectual assault that Goldwater and Reagan led in opposition to what once seemed to be the unquestioned wisdom of the ages. They not only began unshackling the American economy to stunning success, Reagan, with help from Goldwater in the Senate and Thatcher and Pope John Paul II abroad, brought about the literal destruction of the evil empire that was the Soviet Union.

That success, inevitably, so angers defenders of what's left of the tattered liberal flag that they, like their predecessors, will stop at nothing to personally destroy the heirs of Goldwater and Reagan's victory. They have too much at stake to let go of what's left in what was once a vast liberal empire that extended as far as the philosophical eye could see. They once controlled the White House, the Congress, the Supreme Court, the media and the handful of think tanks that existed. But beginning that night in October of 1964 they were under siege.


HAVING SEEN CLOSE-UP THE ATTEMPTS to destroy President Reagan, one recognizes instantly what's at stake here as they go after Rush. Like Ronald Reagan, he is the premiere conservative spokesman of his day. The fact that he draws an audience of twenty million people absolutely terrifies liberal leaders. Terrifies them. Ronald Reagan gave one televised speech that October and lit up Goldwater's switchboard with new found conservatives. Rush speaks for three hours, five days a week. Precisely like Reagan he patiently and with great good humor (as, of course, the sole occupant of "the prestigious Attila the Hun Chair at the Limbaugh Institute for Conservative Studies") walks listeners through the foundations of conservatism and the real world effects of liberalism.

Reagan used to draw gales of laughter from increasing crowds in his career as he said the most dangerous words in the English language were "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you." In Rush's hands this point gets illustrated with the tale of New Orleans Mayor "School Bus" Nagin. Combined with television's visual images of a flooded parking lot filled with government-run school buses rendered completely ineffective in the life-or-death task of rescuing residents, in three words Rush illustrated with unerring and stinging accuracy exactly what a floundering, bureaucratized liberal attempt at help looks like -- and its deadly effects. If you, to cite one not-so-stray example, are defending the idea that government can run health care in America better than the private sector, Rush becomes one formidable man with a microphone. But if you hope people will forget you have trashed the troops as ignorant murderers and Nazis, and Rush calls you out with sound-bite chapter and verse, playing back your words to millions, Rush becomes one very dangerous man indeed.

One year and a month away from the 2008 election the stakes are clear. Liberals are not fighting for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama or John Edwards or anyone else.
They are in the fight of their lives to defend a way of life that has become the indefensible. Beginning with contempt for the military, they have become the epitome of pacifism abroad and failure at home. Yet make no mistake. In this fight they will, as they have in the past, say and do anything -- anything -- that they believe is necessary to win.

Today Rush Limbaugh stands in their way, just as Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan once did. But like Ronald Reagan, Rush is not alone -- and unlike Barry Goldwater in 1964, we're not 38% anymore. Whatever happens in 2008, conservatives are here to stay, Rush will keep talking, liberalism will keep unraveling, and Americans will keep listening. And the men and women in uniform? It doesn't even have to be said what they think of Rush Limbaugh.

That's the real Goldwater-Reagan victory.

WATERLOO — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he no longer wears an American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for "true patriotism" since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Obama (below) referring to a tv interview where he was asked why he removed his American Flag lapel pin worn in the past:

"I said, you know what, I probably haven't worn a flag pin in a very long time. After a while I noticed people wearing a lapel pin and not acting very patriotic.
"The truth is that right after 9/11 I had a pin,"
Obama said... "Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security."

Since U.S. Presidential candidate Barack Obama believes that NOT displaying the U.S. flag is somehow more patriotic than displaying it, ...then perhaps he should consider running for President of another country that uses a different flag (and not wear that flag pin because it would be unpatriotic to display ...it).

Step 1- Take out gun.
Step 2- Aim gun carefully
Step 3- Fire gun.
Step 4- Go to Bullet in Foot Specialist, Dr. Howard "Yeee-haaa" Dean to get bullet removed from foot.

Meanwhile, somewhere in a dark basement of the smear factory, Hillary cackled and cackled and cackled with fake laughter ...and almost smiled.

Of course the news media will play this down and protect Obama... unless his numbers start to get closer to Hillary's... then suddenly this will be a newsworthy story.

UPDATE: 10/08 Now it seems Obama is saying he will "lead the sinners out of the wilderness"?... keep the bandaid's handy.

The next time someone on the left mentions there were no WMD's found in Iraq, tell them this.

Why not? They might ask.

If one considers (only for a moment) the nonstop onslaught of lies dispensed by the Soros Clinton News Service (main stream news media matters), one doesn't have to guess what was coming NEXT if WMD's were found.

How do we know? You might ask.
Because in 2003 they were already "cooking" the lie ...errr I mean "official CIA report", just in case.
Here it is.

With current control of which media matters and when media matters, Democrats clearly would have done exactly what they are doing now...lie, and the SCNS media would print every word without question just as they are now.

Based on what we've heard Democrats say since 2003, this would have been one of their easier sells...

OR it could have been their greatest whopper of all time, alas we will never know.

In the meantime, we have discovered tons and tons of Whoppers Manufactured by Democrats (WMD) right here in America and instead the media reports on Brittany Spears, OJ and then attacks O'Reilly and Limbaugh and anyone else that dares question the great and powerful "Oz".

We believed them, got rid of all (or most) of those things, we went"aerosol free" and now we learn what?

All of that stuff had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOLE IN THE OZONE (you morons). Scientists NOW say that the Ozone layer develops holes, thins and thickens, on it's own naturally (you know, Nature?) and there is no evidence that man or his/her hairspray (or the lack thereof) has had any measurable affect on the Ozone layer whatsoever.

Remember in the early 1970's (5-10 years prior to the above if you are old enough) THEY forced us ("killed" the musclecar) to all buy pintos and vegas and minivans with lawn mower engines in them because oil was running out and new technologies were coming like electric cars or cars that run on water?
Well they did.
Surprise surprise surprise... THEY LIED, we junked the exploding underpowered pintos, turned the vegas into v-8 musclecar hotrods and what do 99.999% of all cars run on 30 years later?
(hint, it ain't batteries or water) There are no shortages of gasoline and no indication of any shortages in the near (or distant) future either.
And BTW- it's still cheaper (by the gallon) to drill oil, ship it across several oceans, refine it into gasoline, ship it into the country, refine it some more into various blends of gasoline and ship it again to your local gas station than it is to milk a cow in your home town, heat it, cool it and ship it 5 miles to your local gas station for your morning cereal. Water costs nearly as much as gasoline if purchased 32oz at a time.

Now these SAME people are telling us the SAME thing again about "Global Warming" and "going green". We must all save the planet by eliminating cars and all things petroleum. We must reduce our "carbon footprint". (do they know that all life on this planet is carbon based and thus has a "carbon footprint"?)

You have no clue what (if anything) is causing anything.
Therefore, you have no clue how to decrease it, increase it or even if either is a good thing.

Step Two- Use the existing presence of left leaning news organizations such as the NY Times etc. etc. etc. to upgrade the propaganda smear into legitimate "breaking news" and ultimately convert it into "truth by perception" (and deception).

Step Three- Discredit any news sources or agencies that provide an opposing view to the Democrat party as "garbage" not "fair nor balanced", not credible or suitable for Universities or rational thinking people to hear, see or read. Two examples are Fox News and locally the Daily Oklahoman which UCO college professor and blogger Okie Funk refers to as "The Worst Newspaper in America" due specifically to what he considers rightwing leanings.

Step Four- Get Democrats elected and/or Republicans destroyed.

The scam obviously worked and "fooled" the Bush hating, military hating, Rush Limbaugh hating Main Stream News Media (shocking) into printing the new lie and continue printing the new lie while avoiding asking Democrats about their last lie(s).

Rush Limbaugh is not elected to any public office, doesn't represent the Republican party in any official capacity but happens to be the most listened to radio talk show host in America and also is the most listened to program by the US military. Like the one (among others) Rush was talking about who washed out after only 45 days in boot camp and then was held up by the left, Democrats and the news media as an Iraq/Afghanistan war veteran with a purple heart who had personally witnessed war crimes by other Americans in the war (that he was never actually in), praised as a hero for his courage by the left and used as a weapon against the real soldiers and Bush . That kind of phoney soldier.

Limbaugh DID SAY that John Murtha (D) and others fit into that "phoney" category later... but I noticed he made a mistake and overlooked JOHN F KERRY who claimed "he witnessed atrocities reminiscent of Ghenkis Khan" being committed by fellow US military and threw away his medals at a Vietnam war protest before later meeting with the Communist Leaders in N. Vietnam where his picture hangs in a museum as a hero to this day.

If the surge is not working and the US is not winning... then casualty numbers would support that. Anti war liberals have USED casualties (particularly "civilian" and US Military casualties) to judge the success (or lack thereof), so then increased civilian deaths and/or increased US casualties would verify or refute one side or the other- yes?.


If we are going to question General Petraeus and the US Government numbers and analysis (which we have) then we must question moveon.org's numbers and analysis.-Yes?
Uh-oh, okay, just to make it fair and easy, how about using the numbers collected and analyzed by a fair and balanced registered Democrat liberal research professor to check both Petraeus AND moveon.org/Democrats... Yes?

If moveon.org and Democrats like Hillary Clinton are right and the surge is NOT WORKING, then conversely Al Qaeda should be continually more successful at killing more civilians (and US troops) and inciting civil war (Shiite/Sunni violence), also...if the surge is not working, there should be more American casualties especially considering there are 30,000+ more Americans in Iraq to be killed by Al Qaeda (or others). If the surge is not working then we are not winning the "hearts and minds", local Iraqis are probably fighting against the Americans and not with the Americans. -yes?

Professor Engram demonstrates (as I have pointed out in previous posts) that in FACT civilian casualties are down as a result of the surge and that local Shiite are working with US troops to defeat Al Qaeda which has pointed to September 2007 as their "all or nothing" strategy to drive Americans out of Iraq and that US casualties are in fact down as well while Al Qaeda deaths went up dramatically in the months leading up to the advertised "surge" and data shows Al Qaeda is now running out of martyrs.
In other words, Petreaus is right.

I'm not demanding you believe the data, just testing to see if you can even consider the data (which are facts based on data supplied by anti-Bush groups...by the way).

After The Surge, Al Qaeda's Last Gasp?

Omar at "Iraq The Model" Blog does a great job of tracking the inside information on whats happening on the ground in Iraq.

With everyone except moveon.org and the Leftwing media "surge deniers" now fully aware that the surge has in fact worked, Patraeaus was right and Al Qaeda in Iraq is wounded, hurting, desperate and cornered. The locals, both Sunni and Shiites are working with US troops (hearts and minds) to expose and kill Al Qaeda making it nearly impossible for them to operate in big cities.
So, what is their next (and perhaps final) last gasp plan in Iraq?

Omar notes a sudden increase in what I will call the new Al Qaeda "scorched earth" policy. Driven from larger cities that only months ago Al Qaeda was claiming as part of the new Islamic State, these thugs and terrorists are now burning and destroying villages that they once had claimed as Capitols of that Islamic state but now forced to retreat within and are certain to lose.
Even they know it's only a matter of time now and they burn these Villages to drive out locals and create media stir.

Look for these Village burnings to provide leftwingers (and AQI sympathizers) with false tidbits of hope (media reports) that Al Qaeda can somehow hang on, burn enough Villages, kill enough innocent civilians and drive the Americans out in spite of the fact the Americans are winning.

When in fact all the scorched earth efforts will be is conformation of their desperation and impending total defeat along with the first signals of the inevitable peace and freedom soon to come for Iraqis.

If Omar is right, look for these burned out Villages to become Al Qaeda's last stand and easy pickin's for the US military without innocent civilians left behind to hide behind. Have you ever heard the expression "like shootin' fish in a barrel"?
